On mother's day, I brought my family to sakae sushi to eat because my mum likes to eat sushi, but didnt get to eat that often.

We chose to go ala carte because I think it is more worth the money than the buffet. We can order red plates and even noodles, whereas buffet is mainly restricted to the basic sushi and those on the conveyor belt.

The colours of the plates are nice for photography and I like the idea of stacking the plates. It is a fun experience with your family and friends. I had fun eating and snappning photos as I like the presentation of the food as well.

My favourite is the chawamushi. I had 2 to 3 cups of them I remembered. It was served in a nice cup and it is always warm, never cold. Love the taste and the ingredients inside. They have a few flavours, but all of them are nice..

Will go back there again!

My first time watching soccer with a big group of people at a cafe. It was ManU vs Arsenal and the atmosphere was great that day, with people cheering on when the goal was drawing near.

Beer is on 1 for 1 of $12. So for those who dont drink much, you could share with your friends.

Food is great. Most of them ordered the fried platter or fried food. But i ordered pasta and my friends ordered the recommended chicken. Forgot what their exacts names were, but there are the recommended dishes by the chef. So just go there and pick up their menu and you know what i mean. Photos are provided in the menu.

Try it. It's great to go with big group of friends, if you are a soccer fans. For girls, you could just chill out with their selections of good food.

This is my favourite dessert and at kopitiam dessert, it's cheap and good. Very value for money, if you compareed to the dessert store at other places.
It uses japanses redbean cooking style, unlike the normal redbean paste.
It is also similar to those taiwan redbean dessert.

Great taste and service, and environment. Clean, and i could seat anywhere.
Located near the street, I could observe the outside environment while enjoying my dessert.

Breadtalk is one Singapore pride, to exaggerate a little.

It is a singapore company, and one that manage to distinct itself from the many bakeries the island has. It started a trend in eating bread not just for breadfast. It has become a lifestyle.

One thing I like about breadtalk is that its liking towards japanese style of food. Names are given to bread to give identity and variety; ingredients used are what is in fashion in japan too - their classic redbean and greentea. Even what the waitress wear is something you will probably see in the past, where people where those apron and dresses to serve customers.

Many people do not like greentea and redbean, but this is two things i like about breadtalk.
In fact, I go there for just that. My birthday cake was from there too and I love it so much.

Those who have never tried breadtalk before, WHY? you're missing out on something. However, price is rather steep, but still affordable for their quality..
For starter, try their pork floss.. Though i think the standard is dropping..
Try also their greentea muffin, and steamcake.

It's addictive.

I have tried Qiji's popiah and nasi lemak since long time ago and have always liked it.
Today, I tried something different - Tauhu goreng, because I am sharing with a friend and this looks like something that is meant to be shared. I doubt I can finish everything myslf. Imagine finishing the entire plate of rojak of sugar, black sauce and peanuts.
Unhealthy~

Nevertheless, taste is good. Being by the roadside is alright, except that it does not feel cosy at all. Space is limited too.

Price is reasonable, even for most students.
I recommend the popiah (with chilli) and their nasi lemak. And their barley drinks.
