Rendang Set! Smile Sep 05, 2012
Categories : Fast Food

received the promotion coupon 2 sets for $10.
so colleague and i went to try this out. the rendang set.
i chose the 1 with chicken.
this is the concept of the place.

the staff is really nice when i told him less ice for my drink,
he really give me less ice lol, unlike other branches, there's no difference.sad

they have a sauce is taste like sambal chilli,
it'll be better if it's spicier. tongue
as usual, i always like the prawns, always that 'springy'lol
the chicken is crispy unlike 1 of the branch that i went, it's soft & soggy.sad
after all, it's very worthwhile cox of the price we paid for,
and given the portion can fill out stomach on a mid week.lol

breakfast! Smile Sep 05, 2012

as u know that mooncakes will be 'popular' only once a year..
was passing by this bakery shop and the mooncakes caught my attention..tongue
decided to get 1 green tea flavour and have it as my breakfast. smile
it's $1.60/piece.. somehow feel that it's exp..mad

BUT! after eating it, i seriously feels that it is worth the price..
u will get to eat only a very thin layer of the 'skin',
the rest is the filling.lollollol

the filling is not too sweet, it has a little of sweetness and bitterness,
a very authentic green tea taste.lol
after eating makes me feel like getting another 1 to eat!!tonguetongue

DO TRY IT OUT K! tongue

also, the cashier is friendly. she is always carrying a weird smile to customer.
upon telling her i do not require the plastic bag to contain my stuff,
she even offered to tie the bag that has my mooncake in.lollol

before going for movie, friend & i decided to go for dinner at Bangkok Jam!lol
1st time coming to this place, it's recommended by her as she know i love thai food.tongue
the concept of this restaurant is very unique, they even have the map of BTS.
even the coaster has name of places in Thailand such as Chatuchak, Petcharaburi & etc.smile

i ordered iced lemongrass tea, feels that it's far too sweet.
would prefer if the syrup is separated and we can pour in ourselves.smile

next, we had clear tom yum soup. we feel that it's far too sour, not spicy at all.
the ingredients inside were squids, slices of fish, mushrooms & prawns.
despite the seafood content, it doesn't taste fishy at all.lol

next, to our main course. we ordered both their signature dishes..
i ordered signature beef noodles and my friend ordered fried egg noodles.lol
my beef noodles contain 2 beef balls, slices of beef and slices of beef chunks..chopstick
the soup has a nice fragrant and it taste even better after pouring all the chilli..
the beef isn't too dry, just nice.. it is very tender..

as for my friend's fried egg noodleschopstick, tho it looks simple, but it's nice too!tongue
it's being fried with garlic and fried onions, it has a unique taste,
it's my 1st time eating noodles with this taste. smile

last, our dessert! my 1st time eating this..
tapioca with coconut cream..
it may not look very appealing, but it's delicious!lollol
the tapioca is very chewy and the coconut milk bring out the sweetness.lollol
the total cost is $57.95.. the price may be a little bit steep,
but we feel that it's worthwhile! lol

the gravy isn't very oily or salty..smilesmile
