not unless Cry Oct 31, 2013

so the verdict on this? not unless it's for a convenient supper.

this was a nightmare. we had a shrimp dumpling and a peanut mochi order. when the peanut mochi came, it wasn't the easiest for the skewers to be pierced into the mochi.

of course grounded peanut and sugar made it at least a little edible.

but the shrimp dumplings.

you can see that they are obviously white parcels. not the usual translucent skin you'd get.and the one i had, was with a shrimp that was still cold in the middle. honestly? don't come here. not to this outlet at least.

So i came back for my slice of Korea. And unfortunately, I was already disappointed when they served it.

A picture says a thousand words and hasn't that said it all? The army stew was served to us. in a weak diluted color and unsurprisingly, the taste was equally bland. And when it came to feedback?

I just had the waitstaff tell me she could give me more chilli powder to make the color a deeper red. You mean, i don't even deserve some nongshim seasoning here?

This was terrible. And suffice to say, I didn't order anything else. and left this half done before the both of us left.

Night out celebrating some birthdays. This was a nice chillax place and what better way to spend it but with some finger lickin' good food?

So we had truffle fries and prawn paste chicken wings.

The truffle fries were full on potato. these were straight cut potato fries. But the truffle taste was sadly muted. The prawn paste chicken might actually have been a wrong order. but seeing as how they didn't have plain chicken wings on the menu, we didn't ask for a change. These were chicken wings that were not marinated at all.

Where's my prawn paste? I had to douse these in mayo and chilli just to stomach down two of them. And we called it quits with chicken left in the basket. Sigh.

A different musical tonight, I was here early for Stomp! And wanted a nice sit down dinner.

I loved the casserole it was served in and the salads were as redolent of Christmas as my previous visit.

Digging into my first spoonful of the three cheese mac, I found a hunk of pork ham and slightly overcooked macaroni. Now the thing that really got me, was the lack in dimensions.

Salt. It definitely needed a little more salt and the taste was flat. It just tasted like an overwhelmingly creamy overcooked dish. As much as i liked my mac and cheese, at $24, I wish I had stuck to my good old crepes instead.

New but not impressed. Cry Sep 25, 2013

It's been a while since I've set foot in here. but i couldn't bear to queue for Ichiban on me own so I settled for fish and co. Since we're going for new, we might as well order something that's new on the menu as well. Baked cod with spicy teriyaki sauce.

this came after half an hour with a side of buttered rice and coleslaw.

the sauce, to be honest, made the entire dish look terribly unappetizing.

it was much too sweet to be spicy and well, i'd rather just have my cod without any sauce.

tragically, i couldn't even stomach it towards the end because the sauce was just too cloyingly sweet.
