First kiss. One of their signature meringue roulades.

I had to buy a birthday cake. And it seemed this was perfect!

Past 9pm, there's a 30% off on the cakes. From $40 to $32. Perfect deal.

This was a passionfruit mousse option. And just because it was a bunch of us divers, I asked the lady if I could have some pretty marine animals. And she was a dear to oblige! Nemo, crabs and dolphins. Oh so pretty!

Light and fruity, this was gone in a flash!

Happy birthday dear!

But no soy sauce forty cents sushi either. That's alright though. We headed straight for what we wanted.

An order for 6 wagyu sashimi sushi. The kagoshimi roasted wagyu had a good marbling appearance. Now all that's left was the taste test. At $4 a pop, this was not cheap. but boy it was good!

It melts in your mouth and there was a slightly smoky aftertaste. It didn't have a gamey taste during or after and the garlic and negi were awesome accompaniments to this. Just a spot of wasabi and I was good to go.

the salmon sashimi was a bright pretty pink and was fresh. melting omega lines. these oils must be good for me. smile

I love this new spacious offering of theirs even if it means travelling a little bit more distance for Itacho. Rather the distance then the queue correct? And another half dozen of salmon sashimi.

Spending per head: Approximately $24(Dinner)

after work drinks!

this was a friday to remember.
it's been a long and hard week hey.

seeing as how this is a surprise find,
i'm puzzled as to how i've missed this out for its full house options along the boardwalk.

but this place doesnt do non alcoholic drinks.
oh the tragedy.

but then there was a saving grace.
fries.
and really.
these fries were carbo heaven.
thick, fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside.
deliciously addictive with pots of garlic aioli.
and thai sweet chilli sauce.
or tomato sauce.
or all three.
dip away!

Recommended Dish(es):  fries!

Spending per head: Approximately $9(Supper)

now this, should be what i call a mushroom swiss.

at the swiss grill here, they do their usual swiss butchery meat offerings that you can select, marinate and take home for cooking.

or you can simply sit in and eat up!

it's amazingly delicious.
i don't know what I can say that the picture hasn't already said it all.

look at the abundance of earthy mushrooms, perfectly melted cheese and a thick juicy patty.
LOVE it!

I deliberated between the Negekomi Don and Bara Chirashi Don but on the waitress' recommendation, decided on the Fisherman's Nagekomi Don.

Once seated, we were immediately served hot barley rice tea.
Orders were taken and swiftly followed by chopsticks and a small side salad with fragrant sesame oil.

It wasn't long before the orders came.
Sushi rice topped with yellowfin tuna, sea bream, salmon, 2 amaebi, squid, crabmeat, salmon roe, flying fish roe and fresh whitebait with freshly grated wasabi and a homemade seaweed paste.
It seems I don't remember having any hotate nor negi maguro.
ohyum!
