Really worth it duck rice  Smile Jun 05, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre | Porridge/Congee | Noodles

My father packed duck rice back for dinner. It was my first time eating duck rice from this stall. I was quite delighted to see so many ingredients in the packet. Besides duck slices, there were tofu, peanuts and half an egg. For just the price of three dollars per packet, it was really worth it! smile The chili was tasty, but not enough for me to eat with the entire packet of rice. Everything in the packet was rich in flavour and although the rice was quite a large portion, I managed to finish everything up! = YUMMY. bowl

Fish head Noodles  Smile May 20, 2011

There was a queue at this stall and there was the smell of wine lingering around the stall. We all thought this stall must be good so we ordered two bowls of noodles from them- a bowl of ban mian and a bowl of fish head noodles. The food was absolutely yummy. The pieces of fish head given was quite a handful and the soup was very tasty. The soup was a perfect combination of milk, fish stock and wine. Costing only $3, it was a delicious steal! The bowl of ban mian did not disappoint us too, it was packed with ingredients with lots of vegetables and the noodles were soft too. The aromatic wine smell coming from the stall will entice you to try a bowl of noodles from them even if you have not read this review! bowl

A Soy Breakfast  Smile Mar 31, 2011
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

I had a Mr Bean set meal that morning for breakfast, which included a cup of soy milk (warm/cold) and a pancake. They were having a discount of $2.10 instead of the usual $2.40. You can get the discount coupons from the outlet itself. There was no queue when I was there and I got my meal really fast! (:

I ordered the cheese pancake. It was yummy with the cheese oozing out when I took a bite. The pancake was already quite cooled down when I ate it so the bread was not as soft as it could be when it's just cooked.

The soy milk was quite sweet since it's warm so I think I'm going to adjust the sweetness level the next time I order. You can! Its like the bubble tea stalls where there is 100%, 80%, 50% and 20% I think.

A very satisfying breakfast to start the day! bowl

A very satisfying McSPICY meal Smile Mar 28, 2011

It has been a long time since I ate Mcdonalds because I don't think their burgers are worth it for the price. But there was Mcvalue lunch that day and the Mcspicy burger caught my eye! I love spicy food. So I ordered the meal priced at 5 dollars. smile

I totally did not regret eating it! I started with the fries and they were very fresh, crisp on the outside and I could taste the potato! YUMMY. The burger was next. The chicken patty was indeed very spicy. But the bread and the lettuce (lots of it!) helped to prevent my mouth from burning! And I had sprite by my side too, so I did not suffer so much from the spiciness.

It was a very satisfying and full Mcdonalds meal! bowl

My favourite hawker food Smile Mar 26, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Coffeeshop | Noodles

It was lunch time and I was not that hungry so I decided to have a light meal of my favourite fishball noodles! The noodles was not bad, not too dry and there was vinegar! smile There was fishcake and fish balls and quite a lot of minced meat, unlike some stalls which only serve fish balls.

The portion was quite small, so it was enough to fill my not-so-hungry stomach. They serve $3 portions too. The aunties at the stall were very friendly and were happy to give me more vegetables when I asked. There was no queue when I ordered my food. This stall serves other noodles dishes like Lor Mee too.

Quite a satisfying lunch! chopstick
