Melon Milk Tea OK Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Gong Cha was having a twenty percent offer for some of its teas, including this melon milk tea, so I decided to order it and give it a try. The fresh melon flavour was quite strong together with the taste of black sugar but it overwhelmed the original tea taste and the entire cup of tea was still too sweet although I asked for sugar level 50 percent.

Plain Waffles  Smile Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Bakery

I could smell the whiffs of pandan fragrance from afar and knew immediately it was from the waffles at Prima Deli. There was not a very long queue at that time so I decided to take the opportunity to get a piece of it. I ordered the plain one because I do not really like their spreads which make the waffle quite sweet or salty at times. The waffle was crispy at the ends and soft in the middle, quality waffles that only Prima Deli offers. smile

Tau Pok Soup OK Jul 30, 2012

NOT DONE NOT DONE

For $3.50, I got one huge big bowl of tau pok soup and a bowl of rice. This stall is famous for its black chicken herbal soup but I decided to try their tau pok soup which was one of the dishes they served too. The soup was not too salty although still quite tasty and the tau pok were really soaked up with the soup. The soup was slightly herbal and cooling for the body too. smile

There was quite a long queue at this stall, I had some time, so decided to queue for fishball noodles. I queued for almost half an hour before I got my bowl of noodles. As I was queueing, I realised the uncle prepared each bowl of noodles very meticulously, ensuring the right amount of ingredients were included in and using a pair of chopsticks to mix the noodles! That was the reason why the queue was so long! shocked It was not bad a bowl of noodles. The ingredients were basic but the noodles were still a little tough. The fishcakes and fishballs were flavourful.

Fire Floss Bun Smile Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

BreadTalk, famous for its floss buns that have now evolved into different flavours of floss, was celebrating its 12th birthday and one of the buns I grabbed in the ten for twelve dollars deal was the fire floss bun. The bun was not exactly that spicy. But the floss with the soft bun was as good as ever. I really enjoy the mayonnaise that they use to stick the floss onto the bun as it makes the bun less dry.
