Sweet Popcorns Smile Dec 06, 2012
Categories : American

Was walking along Citylink Mall when my girlfriend was grumbling to get something to munch on.(There goes my diet)
Saw this popcorn shop with a long queue and wondering what the hype is all about.
And then I tried a piece of the Caramel popcorn.

Wow.

If only cinemas can produce these kind of standards. The popcorn is very feeling, sweet, large, caramel flavouring was just nice, crunchy macademia nuts packed in the popcorn. Wow.

I immediately got for my girlfriend and myself a large bag. No other questions asked.

Beef Pancake Set Smile Dec 06, 2012
Categories : Middle Eastern/Mediterranean | Restaurant | Kids-Friendly

Since it's payday, its time to indulge and invest a bit on good food(hopefully).

Been eyeing this place for so long since my first day at work, maybe because it has potential to surprise me.
And boy was I surprised.

Got myself a beef pancake set at $12 that comes with a little bit of fries and a drink.
Its actually a beef kebab rolls. The beef was well marinated, well spiced, full of flavors, really unlike the kebabs you can get at pasar malam where it was much cheaper. And the restaurant doesn't cheat; the roll was 70% meat and 30% other stuff, unlike in places where the roll was almost as thin as a pencil. Even the tomatoes in the rolls are fresh.

The only downside would be the fries. Soggy, flimsy and soggy, and flimsy. That's how bad it is. But at least its SERVED HOT.

Iced Milo Cry Nov 30, 2012
Categories : Coffeeshop

Everywhere I go, there seems to be a similar trend going round, especially at drinks stall in coffee shops, and I'm very sure all of you will agree with me.

The Iced Milo scam that most hawkers use are plagued everywhere. Is it a cost cutting method published in hawkers' guidebook?

Got myself a cup of Iced Milo, and what it contained was 60% ice and 40% milo. If I were to take out the ice, I'm certain would get less than half a cup of Milo. For $1.50, its like I'm paying for the ice. On top of that, the Milo is a tad too sweet for my liking.

Carrot Cake Smile Nov 30, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Halal

Old Chang Kee is a stall that does not have double standards in all the outlets, from what I experienced.

The carrot cake, or anything you order at this Old Chang Kee will taste the same at that Old Chang Kee.

My personal favourite from Old Chang Kee would be carrot cake as it is very good compared to other places. it is solid, doesnt fall easily, and full of flavors.

Teh?Seriously? Cry Nov 30, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre

I never write about drinks because how can a drink ever go wrong?

I guess I learn something new today. Drinks CAN go wrong, and there's no turning back for wrong drinks.

Feeling thirsty I got myself a teh tarik from this stall. Or was it? I don't even recognize any teh tarik taste from the teh tarik I got. The teh was overly bitter, the condensed milk does no help at all to the teh.
