KPop invasion in SG! Smile Mar 12, 2013

Categories : Korean | Bars/Lounges | Restaurant | BBQ

My friends and I were hanging out in Clarke Quay last weekend when we came to pass by Boss BarBQ. As we were also looking for some place to hangout and eat, we decided to try this place. What caught our attention was the live performance of some korean girls as we came in the restaurant.

The ambiance was like a cozy bar which I think is ideal for large groups. Either it be reunions, parties or dinner out with colleagues.

Okay, so much about the place. What we ordered was their Sang Gyeop or Barbecued Pork Belly and Spicy Cheese Chicken. And dang! We really all loved everything about the food! The pork belly was so tender and cooked medium well, and the flavor was really good! As you can taste the marinated soy sauce in every bite. And just to add that it really goes well with a cup of rice. :bowloll: But for me, the Spicy Cheese Chicken is the best!! As I'm a big fan of spicy food, I can't get enough of this dish!! so for those of you who love to eat spicy and korean food or just want to eat something grilled, you will never go wrong with this place.

Can't wait for my next KPop experience so I'll surely go back here again next time! smilelol

Giveaway coupons! OK Mar 12, 2013

Good thing Wendy's gives out those discount coupons that I get to try their Premium COD Fillet combo. What I love most about Wendy's is their Natural-Cut Fries!! I go ga-ga for it! Lol. :malold: Anyway, granted it wasn't too bad. It was actually rather tasty. For the price I figured it should be. It has a special tartar sauce and the size of the fish is just right for the bun. smile

Overall, the flavor and the size is good. And thanks to their discount coupons cos for me, the actual price is really quite expensive for the food. Maybe if they would have started out with a less expensive fish sandwich it would be a lot better. If you like fish sandwiches, you will like this one. So go and try it out for yourself. lol

Quick Bites! OK Jan 28, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Halal

One good thing about OCK is its prices. All food is below two dollars which are affordable for most of us, be it local or tourists. “Old Chang Kees” has the power to make people walk towards it, uncontrollably.

I usually go there to grab some snack before heading home from work. The food displayed at the counter all seems to be delicious! You'll surely have a hard time picking what you want. Just by looking at the display counter full of food, will surely make you hungry!tongue Ang among OCK's finger food, Chicken Mushroom O' is my favorite. Curry Puff is their best seller but I prefer the mushroom puff since I don't really like curry very much.

The crust of Mushroom puff is just right and crispy, [and also not burnt!] though I actually didn't taste the mushroom in it. But the chicken cubes are good since it's soft and tasty. There are carrots in it as well. Overall, there's nothing really special or WOW about it, but definitely perfect to fill in our empty stomachs. smile

Blong Ice Cream Etc. OK Jan 18, 2013
Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes | Ice Cream and Gelato

After having lunch with colleagues, our boss treated us all for dessert! (YAY!)lol

Blong Ice Cream is located at the basement of Balmoral Plaza. It's one of those places which you won't get to notice at first but I loved the artsy fartsy look and ambiance of the place. The place is not really that big but what caught my attention was their walls which are filled with polaroid pictures of their satisfied and happy customers. madlol

Blong offers a wide variety of flavors and all of them looked really good! So for a first timer like us, it will really give you a hard time to choose what flavor to pick. Since pistachio nuts are one of my favorite snacks to munch on, I ended up picking the Salted Caramel with Pistachio flavor. I like the sweet and salty taste of the ice cream and how the sweetness of caramel was perfect in every bite of pistachio nuts. smilelol

There was nothing really special about their ice cream, but still it wasn't a very bad experience after all!lol

Drooling over Lava! Smile Jan 18, 2013
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

It was served in a cup with vanilla ice cream at the bottom, and you could see the milky brown chocolate lava oozing from the middle!

And wow! When I took my first bite, it was truly an OMG-worthy experience. (Just a warning though, the middle of the cake is a bit hot so be careful!) The lava cake was indeed mouth-wateringly good! mad The chocolate cake was so warm and moist and the vanilla ice cream is just perfect as it adds on a cool taste and even better because it's not that sweet! smilelol

This is truly one of my best first time experiences!lol So if you're a chocolate lover, or just want something for your sweet tooth, then this place is for you! You won't definitely go wrong for trying this!:malold:
