Trust me this place is gonna get a lot more reviews especially from me.

As part of a new routine.. i walk home from Balestier Road every day and one day decided to pass by this place. I wanted something very different for dinner other than the usual stuff from Whampoa Market.

I bought a pack of rice... with egg sambal and vegetable and whooo it was the deal and whats best was that i got a pack of chicken curry... please know the difference.

It was served in a separate packet so that one can devour...

Paid $5.50 per packet.. you know gone are the days where food was worth but this place is damn good...

Upon hearing the awesomenness of a good bean curd... my friends and i decided to head on down to old airport road hawker centre to visit my long time friend.

After a week at work and a place full of chaos... what better way to end with a place at old airport road! Unfortunately, there wasn't any airport there... how unfortunate... was looking forward to see some airline there...

Anyways... thats not the point... after ordering my plate of hokkien mee which was pretty ok... i went to order a container of lao ban beancurd... i wanted to know what the hell was so good about this place! Upon eating my reaction went.... "DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN" this is really really good stuff... i cant describe the taste except that it was cold... and smooth and slides down your throat soothingly and yea i wanted to have another bowl but i wasnt sure after eating all the crazy crazy crazy stuff that day!

Lao Ban bean curd is like a magically combination of awesome smooth tastes in your mouth! So i actually wanna know who is this lao ban we are talking about?? I must say this... if you cant handle any bean curd... i have only one word to tell you... no its not Damn... but the word is 'try'!

You will not regret it! Trust me...

Where is ah hock? Where is he? I gotta thank him!

I have stayed here for 24 years and as far as i know.... this place is the deal for oyster... im a more egg person but given the chance to have an oyster omelet i would.

When i head here for dinner, i would usually buy some sting ray, calamari, kang kong, rice and oyster omelet. This taste is magnificent but for those who cannot take too much oil or will fall sick... try not to eat too much.

The chili that this stall serves *whooo* it is DAMN! good! I feel as if im gonna scream and all. Not coz of the spiciness but coz of the tangy flavor.

The queue is so long and sometimes you gotta wait for about half an hour to get your food served. Wait i think it is self service but yeah.. it is possible...

So ah hock... next time i go to the market for dinner... you had better be there... cuz i wanna thank you for the awesome oysters...

Il be back for more! Smile Feb 18, 2013

I have never ever been to a place where i have spent a lot of money on food and especially at ion... I usually go to the B4 for food as it is way cheaper and i dont even dine at food opera. Call me cheapskate.. Il tell you that i dont really care what you call me.

So moving on to a lighter note... my colleague and my good friend brought me to this place for my birthday! Thank you! I owe you one!

The menu was extravagant. I saw the list and i was like woah... Anyways... i ordered steak and eggs and i couldnt wait for it to come by. For me, i have a high expectation of this dish.

I ordered it to be done medium as i like a little bit juicy and red as well as half cooked.

Anyways i savoured every little bite of the beef and felt so "DAMN" i could have not asked for more.

My friend had the pasta with the scallops.... tasted a bit... and it was really delish. Hmm wow nice stuff here at the marmalade pantry.

Ok for dessert, we had the cupcakes... i had the red velvet cupcakes with the coconut shavings. only one word to describe this... and that is shiok! I was laterally screaming inside as i wanted to try something that would shock me and i wasnt disappointed at all! At all! My friend had the strawberry cupcake or something like that.

It was nice! Very nice... so nice that even nice will question itself!

The ambience was pretty cool... in the middle of the mall... The service was well ok... not fantastic but still ok... i have had a lot worse before.

I would come back her if i had the cash to spend.. Though the cup cakes are pretty cheap i like their steak and eggs..

When in doubt... have a pie! Smile Jan 11, 2013

If you are ever familiar with MIB 3 when the agent K tells Agent J something like. "My grandaddy told me when you're unsure about something.. you gotta have pie" when they have less than 24 hrs to save the world.

So to help myself, my colleague went over to Rochester mall for lunch and well i told him to bring me back some shepherds pie jokingly. I usually do this for fun and i don't really mean it most of the time.

Cut the long story short, i was presented with a nice container of shepherds pie, salad and mash potato. Being a big fan of this pie, i had very high expectations for the pie!

I wasn't disappointed, when i digged in to the pie, it wasn't that hot but i was simply loving it. It had some some chunks of chicken, mushrooms and damn it was good! I couldn't use another more interesting word other than orgasmic. It was simply one of the best things i have ever tried.

The mashed potatoes must be eaten with the pie because the sauce will simply blend in well with the pie. My mouth is watering as i think of this.

I would just like to thank my colleague for helping get through this doubtful moment and be undoubtful.
