Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

Upon hearing the awesomenness of a good bean curd... my friends and i decided to head on down to old airport road hawker centre to visit my long time friend.

After a week at work and a place full of chaos... what better way to end with a place at old airport road! Unfortunately, there wasn't any airport there... how unfortunate... was looking forward to see some airline there...

Anyways... thats not the point... after ordering my plate of hokkien mee which was pretty ok... i went to order a container of lao ban beancurd... i wanted to know what the hell was so good about this place! Upon eating my reaction went.... "DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN" this is really really good stuff... i cant describe the taste except that it was cold... and smooth and slides down your throat soothingly and yea i wanted to have another bowl but i wasnt sure after eating all the crazy crazy crazy stuff that day!

Lao Ban bean curd is like a magically combination of awesome smooth tastes in your mouth! So i actually wanna know who is this lao ban we are talking about?? I must say this... if you cant handle any bean curd... i have only one word to tell you... no its not Damn... but the word is 'try'!

You will not regret it! Trust me...

Wafflelicious Smile Feb 19, 2013

I love this place... Its a nice chill out area on a saturday night where you and your friends can get a waffle with ice cream or gelato they call it but for me it tastes more like ice cream. I dont really care but it tastes great.

After church at Novena, my friends and i decided to head down to wafflelicious for dessert/dinner or something like that. Basically, I didn't know what to get so i saw the menu... i thought for a bit and got the plain waffle with cookies and cream ice cream and fruity pebbles.. I also some extra candy.. with the waffles.

My friends ordered as follows...

Banana waffle with chocolate and hundred thousands,
Strawberry with vanilla and choclate rice
Plain waffle with chocolate and hundred thousands and
i really cannot remember the last one.

I am a big fan of dessert and get this... i have just gotten my sweet tooth back so im guessing i will go back for more but on a consideration basis.

The staff were fast and good... they had the nets machine so that was good.

Lastly, the environment seemed pretty dope.. they had a sofa and all... pretty nice.

Will definitely be back for more!

Having a wide array of food in far east, i usually have no time to think on some occasions..

I went to Far East and since it was payday... i decided to go around and have some food to eat!! I looked around and saw this place.. the antolia turkey restaurant!

At the corner of the street where i first saw you... i mean when i first saw this place... it was very isolated at the near but missable entrance of far east.

I have never tried turkish food with the exception of the kebab... So i went here and tried their set... Beef Burger with fries and a pepsi...

Cost me $10... Pretty cheap for the portion inside... beef chunks... tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and chili sauce... wow.. nice i would think!

The staff were pretty friendly... turkish fellas... all pretty good and friendly.. wished us off as we were walking out! I would come back for more!!!

Greuzi.... Its hello in Swiss German since i would call this closest to the language and culture of this place. I could be wrong though but hey wth.. Food is an international language for 'Awhhhhh'. Ok so, what could i say about this place..

Well there is only one word to describe it... and it comes from Ron Simmons "Farooq" and that word is 'DAMN!'

I went here on evening to get my fix of steak at the delicatessen and looked around for other stuff.

I have always looked over the small stalls but came to found out at the soup stall they were serving mushroom soup.. I was hoping that it was freshly made and not the Campbell's Mushroom Soup.
I saw this freshly made soup and "DAMN!" i was gonna go get it! Served with croutons and pepper.. this was a perfect starter for the meal.

Of course in the meantime, i went to order my rib-eye steak which was done in a medium well as i cant eat the meat that is too red and un-cook due to health conditions. It came perfectly with the baked potato i ordered.

For dessert... wait... what dessert? I was too full but the crepes there looked so appetizing with the movenpick ice cream and toppings...

The ambience: A very smooth oak smell place with well done lighting. The payment method is also good.. We get a card, cash the value to the card and pay at the checkout. What a convenient method!! Seats are comfortable, staff is great and friendly.. very welcoming... Queues are not very long... except the rosti at times but... i cant blame them... Rosti is good as well... with egg and sausage and sour cream... mmm mmm...

2 for 1 for a size of 2 Smile Jan 29, 2013

Well!! Pizza.... a very generic party food extravaganza.. We are having a fiesta i say! Ayareba areba.

Ok so canadian pizza in this outlet is fantastic though i have never ever ever dined here before. But i did a takeaway once with the delivery.

Just after fayidha restaurant there is this small shop that sells canadian pizza! They have a super wide variety of pizza that helps to contribute to the wellness in me...

2 for 1 is fantastic because for me i am really big size and i have a large appetite... So 2 for 1 is fantastic and good enough!

My sister and i ordered the Family Combo for our whole family to share..

1 medium pizza in which we took tandoori, 1 side from set a and 1 side from set b.

For set a they have a choice of shepherds pie, macaroni basil sausage and i cant remember the last one.

For set b.. they had chicken caesar salad (yummy), fish and wedges and i also cant remember what the last one was. I think it was garlic bread.

It also comes with a free 1.5L pet bottle of root beer or sprite.

Great package!

So we had macaroni basil sausage (simply tasty not too blend as there are condiments to help you out with your suitable tastes!)
The chicken caesar salad was mine!!! (Haha i like a mixture of vegetables and meat in my food)
an extra side of beef lasagna and a 4 piece wings... It was around $48.95 quite ex butttttt.... it was good and filling! I had a blast of a time.

The service was great, the operator had excellent product knowledge and also a great personality! Well done!
