Pepper Lunch a place where lunch is made by pepper.... Its so peppery....

After church on Sunday at AMK Ave 8, my friend and i headed down to this place and had our lunch...

The order was the beef with the curry powder and cheese... It is served with the Japanese Green Tea and salad for healthier options...

The taste was exquisite.... The hotness that you have to mix when the hot plate arrives... you have to quickly mix it!

A quick tip that i learnt.. the beef if u want it a bit juicy... turn really fast... and let it heat up for about 30 secs on each side...

Bon Appetite

Half pounder Smile Apr 18, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

I was in for a surprise when i tried Wendys on a Wednesday night... No it wasnt ladies night but just a chill out at Yishun with my friends...

I have never tried the Half pound before. I am not particularly fussy about the burgers and after all i wanted to treat myself to something...

Anyway, it was quite crowded and the staff behind were struggling (its okay guys, i know how you feel, don't sian okay). They basically had a lot of orders and it was very confusing for them but my meal was served within 5 minutes and i was quite okay with that.

Had the coke light and also the baked potato for a healthier option. Although it is a complex carbohydrate, it is very tasty and healthy.

The burger was super juicy and a little greasy oops... but extremely tasty such that i savored every piece of it.

Came to about $8.95, the staff were really friendly...

Can you smell the rojak? Smile Mar 20, 2013

Going to Yishun is quite far for me.... honestly.. but when you meet some friends sometimes... its quite ok.. so this was what i did... I wanted something light and i didnt want to eat like a bird...

So looking all around me it was either rice or noodles... and of course a big no no for western food.. I mean seriously... i could actually feel as if a dragon went inside my stomach and i wanted something to share...

So i saw a stall selling otak otak and i was like hmm not a big fan of otak but i got the rojak..

I saw it made right in front of my eyes... I was asking the lady what makes a good rojak? She said... its all in the sauce... Hmm true that but the sauce a little too runny for me..So it wasnt exactly super tasty but rather it was ok....

I saw the rojak being made in front of me for the first time... You tiao... tau pok, guava, pineapple, crushed peanuts... bean sprout... i cant remember the other stuff that were given to me in the sauce... Paid $3 for the rojak which was served in a Styrofoam box... Cant believe how much for $3..

The lady who served me was very kind... she had awesome customer service... Will be back there for more..

Thank You for the services!!! Smile Mar 01, 2013

For 15 years... the vines seafood and steak restaurant has been serving the public well at novena ville. On the 6th of January 2013, they have closed their doors and is now operating at their other outlet at cantonment..

Thank You!

When i dined there last year and a few times before... i would say that their service is top notch fantastic.

Their servings... awesome and their ambience is fantastic. One of the best settings i have ever experienced in my life.

For starters, be prepared to ordered what you really want to eat as i was spoilt for choice.

Appetizer: I ordered cheese fries
Result: So-so because it was a little sweet.. for me i cannot mix sweet mayo or anything with fries. Even for mcdonalds fries, i do not eat with the chili sauce or tomato ketchup! Its so natural! It was served on a warm casserole dish so it was just ok to me.

Entree: I usually have the ribeye steak with the baked potato with a sambal sauce... Now if you are thinking sambal sauce... think again... sambal sauce is nice and a little sweet. When it comes with meat.. im more or less ok with a little sweetness but i wanna taste the meat.
Result: I ordered medium for the beef as i wanted it to be a little juicy and also a little bit bloody...
It was perfect for me... Im super particular for the beef... If memory serves me right.. it was about $23 for the ribeye..

Other options include surf and turf such as chicken, lobster, giant prawns mix and match combos...

Dessert: Green Tea Cake!
Verdict: nice but not my taste...

The service is fantastic... there is this particular gentlemen... i am pretty sure he is the boss or manager or something like that... He treats his customers right and engages in conversations with the customers. There was once he even sang happy birthday alone to someones birthday. If there is someone i respect for customer service... It is this guy! Honestly! No other guy i have seen can match his charisma!

I would want to visit the outlet in cantonment to see how it is like..

Recommended Dish(es):  surf and turf options

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)

Makan Time at Marche Smile Feb 07, 2013

Greuzi.... Its hello in Swiss German since i would call this closest to the language and culture of this place. I could be wrong though but hey wth.. Food is an international language for 'Awhhhhh'. Ok so, what could i say about this place..

Well there is only one word to describe it... and it comes from Ron Simmons "Farooq" and that word is 'DAMN!'

I went here on evening to get my fix of steak at the delicatessen and looked around for other stuff.

I have always looked over the small stalls but came to found out at the soup stall they were serving mushroom soup.. I was hoping that it was freshly made and not the Campbell's Mushroom Soup.
I saw this freshly made soup and "DAMN!" i was gonna go get it! Served with croutons and pepper.. this was a perfect starter for the meal.

Of course in the meantime, i went to order my rib-eye steak which was done in a medium well as i cant eat the meat that is too red and un-cook due to health conditions. It came perfectly with the baked potato i ordered.

For dessert... wait... what dessert? I was too full but the crepes there looked so appetizing with the movenpick ice cream and toppings...

The ambience: A very smooth oak smell place with well done lighting. The payment method is also good.. We get a card, cash the value to the card and pay at the checkout. What a convenient method!! Seats are comfortable, staff is great and friendly.. very welcoming... Queues are not very long... except the rosti at times but... i cant blame them... Rosti is good as well... with egg and sausage and sour cream... mmm mmm...
