If you ever fallen in love... you know its an awesome and complicated feeling... i dont know how to explain it... This was exactly how i first met dim sum...

It was my 3rd month in my unit and we were having a cohesion and we decided to head over to ah yat for dim sum... I honestly had no idea how to eat dim sum or didnt know what it was... so we headed over plates by plates kept on arriving and arriving and so i thought... wow this really is dim sum?? hmmm something that existed and i didnt even try...

Anyways... the siew mai was the highlight for me apart from the char siew bao.... Very nice... Completely speechless...

We paid some more to eat and to try out other stuff... for me... i was contented once i ate the pork ribs... nothing else really matters from there...

I loved the decor of the place... quite relaxing... and there were nice tables... so i guess it was pretty good for me...

Fish in paper Smile Mar 19, 2013

I have always been a big fan of fish and chips.. Its origination from the UK in the 18th century has brought its awesome name all over the world..

Over here at Katong, there is this one place my secondary school friends and i decided to chill out near our old school to eat dinner one night... My o my we saw the price... a bit pricey.... but we rarely eat high class stuff so i decided... ar what the heck... lets just eat it out and see how it goes...

I got the haddock fish and chips with the mushy peas... I have never been a big fan of peas and try to not eat it too much as well...

My take on this was that theres only one word to describe this sensual feeling... The word is "AWEHISSOSKSKSOMESSS!!!!" yea its a mixture of awesome and shiok put together.... The mushy peas had the vinegar dressing to make it a little green paste like thingy... Tastes better than i expected...

The beer battered fish and chips tastes really good... it is served with the paper as compared to the normal boxes that is usually used in normal shops...

Along with the new fish and chips... i ordered an ale... It was quite good but very normal European beer to me.. I was hoping for it to be a little more smooth...

i will definitely without a shout of a doubt be back to eat at this awesome place!

The ambience is pretty nice with the good music the play

The service staff was good and recommended a good amount dishes and what beer goes with what dish...

Total cost of fish and chips with mushy peas and a bottle of ale: $28

Total cost of experience with a catchup with secondary school friends: Priceless

Recommended Dish(es):  Mushy Peas,Beer Battered Haddock Fish and chips

Spending per head: Approximately $28(Dinner)

If you walk down past tekka and go to this restaurant.. you would realize that this place is pretty old coz guess what.... it is.... As far as i know sri kamala's, it has been a very nice place to eat.

Dont get me wrong but it is not the most hygienic of places.

Me being a crazy carnivore.. i can tell you that this place is nice. Honestly... they dont only have meat but they also have the vegetarian stuff.

For example.. i went there to have thosai (PRONOUNCED "Toe Say" not "tor sai" hahaha it is so great such that its size speaks for itself! I ordered a paper thosai and a masala thosai. For the paper thosai it wasnt an A4 sized paper but it was like an A2and a half size folded into a cone like flat shape served on the plate.

For an indian restaurant, most of the utensils are in aluminum, the plate comes in 4 separate compartments, 1 for the coconut gravy, one for the chili paste and one for the vegetable curry.

The masala thosai was basically vegetable masala consisting of potatoes, curry leaves, indian spices and more stuff wrapped by a plain thosai.

I also ordered this indian donut which some people call it is actually called Vadai (Pronounced Var dei). It is unhealthy as 3 big macs but i love it without the prawns, no chili but with the coconut gravy.

I like the vegetarians indian food.... Guaranteed to make you full.

The price aint all that expensive. If i remember correctly, the price should be around $2 for the paper thosai and around $3.50 or $4 for the masala thosai. Gone are the days where it was $0.70.

Recommended Dish(es):  thosai

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Dinner)

Do you love it? If you do.... then good for you!

For me... its like a huge pile of junk food although i can pretty say that i am a victim to their breakfast! A big victim!

I went there to get some breakfast one morning after a long night of clubbing... I was high... hungry and i wanted to sleep... We wanted to get near our area and we did...

Now the reason why i review mcdonalds is to show you how people can customize their order...

For example, i ordered breakfast deluxe with orange juice. Ok now this is the exciting part i wish i had photos to show you this. It was big breakfast plus scrambled eggs plus chicken sausage plus turkey roll (available from the egg mcmuffin) and a slice of cheese! I paid nearly 15 bucks for this breakfast! Damn!!

Ok i never did it again.. not only will their be fiesta in the toilet but also the health warning issues... Please whatever you do.. no matter who you are... please do not do this at home or anywhere for that matter... One time was good but no more! Just take the normal meals.

I have no other issues with this place. The place is clean... the staff knows me which is sometimes not a very good thing and also and yea service is excellent.

Having a wide array of food in far east, i usually have no time to think on some occasions..

I went to Far East and since it was payday... i decided to go around and have some food to eat!! I looked around and saw this place.. the antolia turkey restaurant!

At the corner of the street where i first saw you... i mean when i first saw this place... it was very isolated at the near but missable entrance of far east.

I have never tried turkish food with the exception of the kebab... So i went here and tried their set... Beef Burger with fries and a pepsi...

Cost me $10... Pretty cheap for the portion inside... beef chunks... tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and chili sauce... wow.. nice i would think!

The staff were pretty friendly... turkish fellas... all pretty good and friendly.. wished us off as we were walking out! I would come back for more!!!
