Jack Daniel's Burger OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : Fusion | Restaurant

T.G.I.F is popular for its ribs and steak, but I was craving for some megaburger on this occasion. I ordered the Jack Daniel's burger since the Jack Daniel Sirloin taste good.

The burger was huge but I think it is slightly smaller than the one at Swensen. It comes with fries and Jack Daniel's sauce. The fries are big and crispy. The sauce is sweet and it tastes like the sweet sauce of Soon Kueh which is kind of funny when I mentioned it to my friends. On the first few try, the sauce tastes good, but after a while the liking for the sauce is gone.

I was disappointed with the beef patty as it appears to be overcooked for me so it does not taste as succulent and tender. There were onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon in the burger. This is a filling lunch but not a fantastic one at least for me.

Spending per head: Approximately $20.80(Lunch)

Mango Pomelo Sago OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes

This dessert stall serves quite a variety of dessert. It also sells mango pomelo sago which is one of my favourite desserts so decided to see the quality.

I was sceptical of the taste when i saw how it was prepared. The dessert was taken out from the fridge and chipped ice was just added. Upon tasting, it still has the refreshing taste and the serving of mango was pretty generous. Importantly, I think the dessert is not very sweet.

I was there quite late in the night perhaps it was closing hence the preparation was not the standard way.

Satay Beehoon OK Jul 11, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Noodles

I was craving for satay beehoon and decided to give it a go upon seeing it. The beehoon was very little and it is definitely not filling for a guy. The satay gravy is not too bad but I think there could be more peanut bits. There was not a lot of seafood, only a few pieces of meat, kang kong and cockles. The cockles was not boiled slightly, it was just placed on the noodles and the satay gravy was added onto it. At $4.50, I think it is expensive given the small serving.

Vegetable Ramen OK Jul 11, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

The vegetable ramen has a very colourful presentation and is a healthy dish. The ingredients include cabbage, carrot strips, corns, seaweed, mushroom and golden needle mushroom. The soup gives a refreshing feel but one can also taste the strong vegetable taste in the soup. I think this is good for the body once in a while. I love the mushroom and golden needle mushroom as they are very soft and crunchy. The set meal also comes with a fried beancurd. The beancurd is wrapped with some kind of skin to fry so that the beancurd will not disintegrate. Though it is fried, the beancurd still feels very soft on the inside.

Hor fun OK Jul 10, 2011
Categories : Food Court

The stall sells mainly different ingredients with hor fun and also curry noodles.

I ordered the shredded chicken hor fun and it was served in a very large plate. Looks really appetizing. It comes with prawns and mushrooms too.

The gravy was thick and flavorful. The noodles were smooth and cooked well. Chicken was tender but given quite little. However, the mushroom was not the crunchy kind which I like. Prawns were slightly overcooked and quite tough.
