long john silver OK Jun 18, 2011

Categories : Fast Food | Halal

There is currently this special deal/promotion going on at Long John Silver's. I ordered the deal that consists of a chicken and shrimps.

My first impression of the food was, "The chicken shrank again!" It seems to get smaller every time I buy its chicken. The chicken was difficult to cut too, and I simply eat it using the fork. The shrimps were quite normal and not my favorite. The fries were actually the nicer one among all. Crispy and flavorful. It is one of my favorite places for fries.

Pontian Wanton Noodle OK Jun 14, 2011
Categories : Malaysian | Hawker Centre | Noodles

I think the selling point of Pontian Wanton Noodle is the springy noodle and dark sauce. This combination gives the noodle a very nice flavor. Further the noodles leave a good bite. The ingredients include two fried wantons and a boiled one, together with char siew and vegetables. The char siew was not the best as they are not well marinated and difficult to bite. Additionally, the char siew given was not a lot too.

Yee Mian OK Jun 14, 2011

Categories : Food Court

There is nothing much to eat at this food court so I decided to buy the Yee Mian. The noodles serving was very generous but it was not proportional in the serving with the ingredients. There was two prawns, a few pieces of meat and fishcake and vegetables. There were no squids to be seen which was disappointing. The noodles were of average standard but the gravy was still pretty good. The gravy was viscous and taste sweet.

Mango Beancurd OK Jun 14, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Desserts and Cakes

As a mango lover, I decided to give the mango beancurd a try. The display of the mango beancurd certainly deserved high points for aesthetic value. From the picture, you can see there is a thick layer of blended mango and a few pieces of mango. However, I think it does not taste as good. This is because the mango and the beancurd is separated in their taste. However, the beancurd is still very smooth and tender as it disintegrates in your mouth. The mango is not too sweet so it does not make one sick of it.

Hotdog OK Jun 11, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

This outlet is quite small, with the seats quite closely packed. Located right beside McDonald's, a nice fight between the two fastfood chains.

Ordered the hotdog, different from the usual burgers. Was not a bad choice, but I find the beef burgers better still. The hotdog was topped with onions and pickles. The bread was soft but nothing special. Sausage was big and juicy, with a little peppery taste.
