Minced Meat Noodle Smile Aug 27, 2011

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

This is my favourite stall for minced meat noodles. It is very well-known for soup minced meat noodle instead of the dried ones. There is always a long queue for it. The noodles are very springy and very well-cooked. The soup base is very sweet and does not make one thirsty after drinking too. There are lots of minced meat and meat balls given too. The meat balls are fresh and chewy. Usually I will order the $3 serving as the small one at $2.50 is not enough.

Yuzu Pear and chocolate tart Smile Jul 10, 2011

Categories : Bars/Lounges | Desserts and Cakes

This dessert bar has a very nice ambience and is a good place to chill out. I ordered the Yuzu pear cocktail which was highly recommended by the staff as a sweet and citrus drink. However, it does not turn out to be as it tasted bitter. Orange bits could be seen in the drink. There was a slight burning sensation as the drink reaches the throat.
The chocolate tart was fantastic and just by the display it was already tempting enough to want to finish it. The tart was crispy on the outside but when you cut it open, all the warm chocolate starts oozing out. The chocolate is thick and it is not sweet. There were small chocolate balls too. The dessert also comes with an orange sorbet.

Pork Rib Prawn Noodle Smile Jun 27, 2011

This stall serves quality prawn noodle. There is a choice of dry and soup. Additionally, you can also have pork ribs and prawn noodles at $5.50. The noodles are well-cooked and the sauce is very well mixed too. The chilli is very spicy so just request for a little if you are not a spicy food eater. The prawns are big and fresh and they come in a whole with the shell still on it. I admit it can be a bit troublesome but I think it tastes better this way. The ribs are soft but there is not much taste in my opinion. The soup is fantastic, thick and sweet. It contains all the essence from the prawn. You can actually ask for more soup from the seller.

Peach Yogurt Smile Jun 14, 2011

Swirl art is a cafe serving frozen yogurt and the outlet is very nicely furbished. It is a good place to chill out but I would say the yogurt is pretty expensive. I picked the peach flavoured yogurt this time round having tried the mango flavoured the last time round. The peach yogurt is sweet and refreshing and actually tastes like ice-cream. Seriously having the yogurt is good enough, but you can design your own yogurt by adding the available items. I added two pieces of peaches, chocolate and some gummies. The gummies was actually a weird combination. As for the peaches and chocolate, it tastes quite well with the yogurt. This cup of yogurt actually costs $9.

Mango Yogurt Smile Jun 11, 2011

This is a D.I.Y concept where you design your own yogurt with the available yogurts which comes in various flavours. The cost is charged at 100g for $3. I picked the mango flavoured yogurt as I am a lover of mango. It actually tastes quite sour but it was fine for me that day because I went there after a heavy steamboat meal. I added a few mangoes pieces and my Mango Yogurt is ready for eating and it costs me $8. The yogurt was refreshing and very addictive. It tasted somehow like ice-cream too. I find the cost a bit high and one can easily add too many stuffs and you get yourself a very expensive yogurt.
