Bread Smile Jun 02, 2011
Categories : Bakery

This bakery sells a wide variety of bread, placing the breads even outside the shop itself. I like to choose from the small pieces of bread which are packed together in 4s or 6s or 9s. They have the weirdest and most unique combination, seldom seen in other bakery.

Their sponge cake is really worth a try. Tiny pieces, great for snacking. It has a strong fragrance of egg.

Original Baby Back Ribs Smile Jun 01, 2011

Categories : Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

I decided to give Tony Roma ribs a try after hearing good reviews about it. The restaurant environment is very comfortable and the staffs are courteous and friendly.

I ordered their famous Original Baby Back Ribs which is basted with their original BBQ sauce. It comes with baked beans and coleslaw. The ribs was tender and meaty and they go very well with the fantastic sauce. The serving is very huge as well.

After the main course, I ordered the Skillet Cookie Sundae. I was surprised at the size of the dessert - it was huge. It is served in a skillet with a huge soft chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with chocolate toppings. It is pretty sweet so after eating for a while my throat gets a little uncomfortable and I nearly could not finish it as it was huge.

Rose-Wine Flambe Lamb Shank Smile Jun 01, 2011

Categories : Fusion | Restaurant | Seafood | Kids-Friendly

This is a fantastic place for a dinner especially with a date. The ambience is good, very well adorned and there is a band. The theme of this restaurant is fusion. The price of the food is pretty reasonable. It costs $30 nett for a set dinner with a mushroom soup, main course and a dessert.

The mushroom soup is fantastic one of the best that I have tasted. It is thick and sweet, with lots of mushroom bits. The soup gets you addicted to it with every sip. There is also a bread to go with.

The Rose-wine Flambe Lamb Shank incorporates Western and Chinese style which makes it a fusion dish. It comes with the roasted vegetable and potatoes and resembles a lamb stew. The lamb is well cooked as the meat is very tender. The flavour of the gravy is also absorbed into the lamb and you could savour the taste. The gravy is pretty good, taste a bit sweet and sour.

The dessert was mango cake which was pretty in the way it was served. The cake was soft and has a very refreshing mango taste. It is not sweet and will make you crave for more.

Kenny Rogers Muffins Smile May 31, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant

I think Kenny Rogers corn muffin is one of the best around in Singapore and it is a must have when you visit this restaurant. Just look at the pictures alone, I guessed the muffins have already start to make you salivate. The muffins are well baked such that they have this golden brown texture. The muffin is crispy on the outside especially the edges and fluffy on the inside. The buttery flavour can be savoured when you bite it and it almost melt in your mouth. I am a lover of their muffins since young and I realised the muffins are now not so dry. These muffins are a good snack for afternoon tea to go with a cup of coffee.

Milk tea w/ Herbal jelly Smile May 28, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

My favorite drink from here is milk tea with herbal jelly for now, until I get sick of it and try a new drink. The stall here is not very crowded as compared to KOI just nearby. Probably most of the crowd went there instead. The queue moves quite quickly with the fast service.

The jelly is very smooth and goes very well with the milk tea. I like my drink not too sweet and thus ordered it with 30% sugar. It has only a hint of sweetness, not recommended for those with a sweet tooth.
