The popiah here is really delicious and addictive. I am a big fan of popiah, and it seems to be a healthy food. There is something crispy among the filling, making it a nice bite and a different texture to the softness of the vegetables.

The price is slightly to the expensive side for a roll of popiah, which you can easily get from the coffeeshop for just $1 or $1.20. Even so, it is worth a try.

Nasi lemak Smile May 15, 2011

They serve a variety of nasi lemak sets. I chose set 3, which comprises of fried chicken wing, otah, egg and ikan bilis.

The rice was very fragrant with the coconut milk, and is probably one of the favorite items from this shop. The chicken wing was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The ikan bilis was fried well and maintained its crispiness. The otah was quite spicy, but delicious. Those who like spicy food will love their chili - a must have for nasi lemak. Very spicy, but very fragrant.

Located at a corner of suntec, I nearly could not find this shop. I was not disappointed at all. I came here for brunch, and the shop was quite empty. Ordered their signature popiah.

The popiah here can be considered one of the best that I have eaten. There was quite a lot of black sweet sauce, but the skin was still intact. The vegetable were cooked well, very flavorful. There were some crispy thing inside, which I could not figure out what it was. The crushed peanuts were very fragrant too. Those who love meat can add prawn or chicken for an extra 40 cents.

A must try!

Mutton Teppanyaki Set Smile May 05, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Food Court

Teppanyaki has always been one of my favourite food because you see the chef cook in front of you and the food is served to you sizzling hot. The portion of food is served in staggered order. First, the beansprout is served first and I must say that their beansprout is very well-cooked. It is very well-flavoured. One of my friend actually grew in love with beansprouts after tasting them at one teppanyaki stall. Next to be served was the lamb and it was cooked with black pepper source. It was already spicy enough so if you cannot take spiciness tell the chef not to add chilli. The lamb is tender and succulent. Lastly, the cai xin is served. Generally, I think this is a very nice meal but I think the portions of serving is a little small.

GREAT bak kut teh!  Smile Apr 26, 2011
Categories : Coffeeshop | Bak Kut Teh

Yes, as the title suggests, the bak kut teh here is GOOD! Quite reasonable pricing, especially since this is just a coffeeshop.

The soup is great, strong in flavor and quite peppery and spicy. The most fascinating thing is the size of the ribs. Big and long and meaty.

We ordered the pork knuckle to share as well. There was not much fats. Meat was very tender and well marinated. The serving is quite generous, especially since there were quite a lot of meat (as opposed to some other stalls whose pork knuckle consists mainly of bones and fats).

Next up is the kidney. Cooked and cleaned nicely, no bad smell or taste. I did not quite like the soup though, as the bak kut teh tasted much better.

It is really worth a try!
