Pandan Chiffon Smile Jun 27, 2011

I am a lover of pandan chiffon cake because they are soft and carry a very fragrant pandan aroma. The pandan chiffon from this stall rises up perfectly, fluffy and it is not very sweet. The pandan chiffon is baked very evenly too as the tone is pretty much even. One can try dipping the chiffon cake in coffee or milo and it taste pretty good too.

Ham Bread Smile Jun 27, 2011

This seems a pretty new bread stall in Raffles City Shopping Centre. I was hungry and decided to go in and give their bread a try. I always like ham and I saw this small little ham bread. Without further hesitation and at a cost of $0.70, this bread is certainly worth the buy. The bread is soft and fluffy. The ham was seated at the top of the bread with mayonnaise drizzled over it. The ham was not salty and with the mayonnaise, it tasted great with the bread.

Pork Rib Prawn Noodle Smile Jun 27, 2011

This stall serves quality prawn noodle. There is a choice of dry and soup. Additionally, you can also have pork ribs and prawn noodles at $5.50. The noodles are well-cooked and the sauce is very well mixed too. The chilli is very spicy so just request for a little if you are not a spicy food eater. The prawns are big and fresh and they come in a whole with the shell still on it. I admit it can be a bit troublesome but I think it tastes better this way. The ribs are soft but there is not much taste in my opinion. The soup is fantastic, thick and sweet. It contains all the essence from the prawn. You can actually ask for more soup from the seller.

Mee Goreng Smile Jun 27, 2011

This is a special dish which I believed is learnt from Japanese food. The noodle is actually wrapped in the egg. They actually go well and there were lots of seafood. The sauce was sweet due to the generous serving of seafood. Further the seafood were very fresh and juicy too. The noodles were fried well with all the taste infused into it.
Besides the egg wrapped mee goring, I tried the classic kind of mee goreng too. It was equally good. The noodles used was slightly thicker and the choice of ingredients was about the same. Those who have not tried, come hurry and give it a go.

Wan chai Smile Jun 27, 2011

The store here is crowded with people during dinner time and we had to wait quite a while for a table. It is not really a shop by itself, but more of a kiosk with enough tables and chairs.

I ordered the chicken baked rice with mushroom. The serving is huge and so was the chicken (probably quarter chicken). You can add a dollar for the drumstick portion, which I think I will the next time. The chicken itself is quite dry, cooked a little too long. Rice was nice and really cheesy.

Food is good, though the place gets a little crowded and noisy, especially with the added noise from outside.
