Fathers' Day Dim Sum  Smile Jun 29, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

II find that the dim sum buffet was worth the price as they even serve double boiled soup and peking duck. The dim sum was of quite good standard , and i like their sweet and sour fish. It taste nice even after it turn cold. My uncle really love the double boiled soup which he took another serving after taking his ice cream. Some of the dim sum was served in trolley and the staff moved around from table to table. Very much similar to what we see in Hong Kong. For less than 30 per person, I felt it was worth the money for the wide varieties in food.

polar puff and swiss cake Smile Jun 27, 2011

Categories : Bakery

This is the two items that I will order from Polar most of the time, the curry puff and the swiss roll. There was 2 version of swiss roll at Polar, one is without the icing coating whereas the other come with the icing coating. I love sweet things , so I will go for the one with icing coating. The swiss roll was really soft and the price was also reasonable. Probably that was the reason that we can see that Polar is almost at every corner of Singapore. Curry Puff was also one of my favourite. The other crust was crispy and the curry taste so well with those chunks of chicken in it. Yummy.

fish and chips Smile Jun 27, 2011

Categories : English

I got to learn about this fish and chip from the open rice review. Since then, this has been one of the favourite places that I will go for fish and chips. As the name implies, this place serves authentic british fish and chips. It is the closest match to the one I had eaten in London during my honeymoon. There is an option to order with/without fries and different kind of fish are also avaliable for customer to choose from. You can also call the shop in advance if you like to pick up. This places is especially crowded during weekends , so it is advisable to go there early or else it is going to be hot waiting around as this place is not air-conditioned.

This is one of the place which I will go for my breakfast after my daughter finished her class. I wonder when will Subway come out with a drive thru so that I can get this breakfast easier. I will order the ham and egg sandwich most of the time. The sandwich taste delicious with mayo and pepper. What I like best was that none of the ingredients was fried. It taste so healthy and does not leave me with gulit after eating.

Taco Balls with cheese Smile Jun 16, 2011

This is the closest match to the one that I have tried in Japan. I am not sure if they are the same company which I have tried in Japan but the packing and varieties are the same. The price is high if you were to compare to those you get in fairs but the texture and taste are so much better. The outer layer are really crispy and the fillings are soft. With the additional of egg mayo , the taste is superb. Die die must try!
