Fish Cakes Smile Aug 15, 2013

The Thai Fish Cakes at Nana Thai is da bomb! I know it may not be the most difficult thing to make (especially if they get it out of the box) but the plate of fish cakes was hot, savoury and was super yummy paired with the sweet and spicy chilli, it was a combination of flavours in my mouth. Hot, spicy, sweet and salty. Order this as a starter if you are lunching or dining there. But be warned the place has a weird smell because I think it's quite old.

Average Aglio Olio OK Aug 15, 2013   (Related Review)

Had the seafood aglio olio at TCC when they had the 1 for 1 promotion. The aglio olio consist of pan fried scallops, prawns and tossed in olive oil. It was only okay standard. The prawns weren't very fresh and I felt the scallops were a tad bit overcooked as it was more mushy than springy. Nothing very memorable about it, but it wasn't bad either. Just quite average.

Thai Nice Food Smile Aug 15, 2013

One of my favourite dish at Ofira - The Thai Basil Chicken Rice. Minced chicken meat cooked with basil leaves and chilli, rice and one lovely omelet. It's slightly spicy (you can ask for extra spice if you can take it) and it goes well with the egg and rice. The minced chicken is usually quite "wet" meaning there is abit of gravy/sauce to soak your rice in. At $5, it's not too expensive and will fill you up.

Hot Chocolate Smile Aug 15, 2013   (Related Review)

Max brenner hot chocolate is lovely, thick and very sinful. Even a small cup like this is hard to finish by yourself. Sweet and satisfying and a lovely end to any meal. Go for the Italian Thick Chocolate or the chocolate with choco pops as I find these 2 to be very delicious. I wouldn't advise going for the spicy hot chocolate as I feel the chilli doesn't complement the drink well (could be the type of chilli they used).

Tea break! Smile Aug 15, 2013

If you like sandwiches, do try the ones at Hoshino Coffee. I had the egg mayo sandwich and it was quite nice! Toasted bread with generous portion of egg mayonnaise, slices of tomato and lettuce. Great as breakfast or a light snack, do give this a try.

Their pancakes are really thick! The outside has a harder texture but the inside is light and fluffy as a sponge cake. I love the lightness of it! Drench it in maple syrup and you're good to go!
