Cozy seating
This interesting Japanese restaurant at the basement of Vivo City offers an extensive range of menu items - so much so that I couldn't decide what to eat. After asking the staff what was the popular favourites there, I ended up ordering the
Dry Ramen with Kurobuta Pork.
Dry Ramen with deep-fried Kurobuta Pork
Dry Ramen
When the ramen arrived, I was quite disappointed that the Kurobuta Pork was deep-fried, and knew immediately that it won't be nice. Deep frying the pork loses its natural sweetness and flavour. It tasted more like crunchy salmon skin without any traces of Kurobuta Pork in it.
The ramen sauce was also rather unique. I expected it to be savoury, but to my surprise it came out zesty and citrusy as if they had added lemon to the sauce. Even after a few mouthfuls, I couldn't figure out this strange mixture of tastes.
I heard that the sashimi here is really fresh though. And if you're lucky, they sometimes offer a discount at the end of the day if they still have any sushi/sashimi left.
