Sexy Thai Food OK Jul 31, 2013

Restaurant open by a local celebrity of course we have to go try.
Green Mango Salad, refreshing appetizer with heaps of sourish crunchy green mango and nutty roasted peanuts topped with crispy shrimp snack. Salad dressing was sweet and tangy.
Thai Kampung Minced Beef, I thought this dish would taste like the usual basil with mince meat dishes but it’s totally different. Succulent minced beef has strong coriander aroma with slight minty and zesty taste.
Tom Yum Soup, Spicy and sour clear soup with fresh and delectable seafood and fresh (not canned) chewy straw mushroom.

O'Coffee Club Smile Jul 31, 2013

I hate lonely afternoon eating lunch alone (boo hoo) cos my hubby busy with work. Went to Coffee club at Wheelock Place. I ordered Garlic Prawn Pasta.
The waiter who served me was very friendly, he noticed that I was alone and a little moody so chitchatted with me for a bit. Al dente pasta was cooked with fragrant garlic, chili flake, onion and tomatoes. The prawn is fresh and crunchy. Somehow food don’t taste as good as all if you’re on your own, so I’m pretty confident this tasted great!

I definitely would come back again to try more of their dishes and this time with great company.

I’m impressed (wow!) upon stepping into the nicely decorated restaurant.

First we had the Escargot: baked snail with heavenly scent and taste of garlic butter, the flavorful meat was chewy and delicate. Camembert Cheese Fritters, crispy beer battered and deep fried till golden brown cheese slices were cheesy and gooey. Their homemade honey vinaigrette was amazingly good. Simple and delectable appetizer choice.

Beef Stroganoff Omurice: mouthwatering strips of beef swimming in brown creamy mushroom sauce with light tempted sour cream added to enhance the flavor of this dish. Served with fluffy scramble eggs and rice.
Scotch eggs, well-cooked bouncy hard boiled eggs wrapped with tender and QQ minced meat layer then hand breaded and fried till golden brown. Laid nicely in a pool of flavorsome brown sauce.

The rest of the dishes was average tasting.

Knowing that hubby had a harsh and bad day in the office, I specially went to buy him coffee and dessert to cheer him up as I bought takeaway; Ordered Chocolate Of A Thousand Leaves, Tiramisu, and Ice blended Vanilla Frappe.

Smooth and creamy hazelnut cream inside the Chocolate of a 1000 leaves cake had a great light and spongey texture. A bite of this and a sip of any of those great drinks coffee bean sells and it’s a great way to brighten your day.
Tiramisu was also fluffy in texture and smelt of strong coffee aroma, tasted great with its layers of mascarpone cheese topped with the thorough and delicate dust coating of cocoa powder.

Hubby is now happy =)

Brewerkz Smile Jul 31, 2013

Nice Wednesday Night , so we got to fill our stomachs first before we go parrrrtieee… The semi open space of this place is nice and plentiful of seats.
Friendly staff took our orders of Brewerkz burger and Massive Pork Knuckle.

Supposedly juicy grilled beef with crusty burger buns was first to come up, I thought it was a little sad looking as the buns easily shadowed the meat in size. Taste wise was average. Nothing outstanding. It is grilled alright, but it wasn’t juicy. The buns was soft and fragrant. The salads on the sides was crunchy and refreshing.
Flavorful, succulent soft meat wrapped with crispy pork skin was DELICIOUS, served with appetizing sauerkraut and creamy mashed potatoes. The size of the pork was huge! Fermented cabbage was crunchy and mashed potatoes were really mushy and airy while complimenting the pork nicely.

Now I wished the grilled beef’s size was equivalent to the pork knuckle’s.
