Chrysanthemum sorbet! Smile Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Was craving for ice cream and went to Upper Thomson to look for one. Udders is crowded as usual and happened to see Neli's Ice Cream. It is a travel themed ice cream cafe and it is quite cute, as Singapore doesnt have much themed cafes.

Was happy that they have earl grey and happier when I saw chrysanthemum sorbet as not many ice cream places do this.

It was not a weird combi, it tasted good even though there is chocolate sauce drizzled on it.

Best part of this cafe is there is a very clean toilet!!

My kind of fast food!  Smile Jan 15, 2014

The queue is never ending no matter what time of the day it is... But i will still queue up for it since the queue move fast and the food is cheap and good.

The stall owner is very generous with the ingredients. And they also offer the slim kuay teow which most of the stalls dont sell that. It is a must eat for me whenever i am near Amoy food centre.

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Dinner)

Finally tried it after a year! Cry Jan 15, 2014

Been hearing raves from a fussy chocoholic that the lava cake here is a must try, regardless of the price. There wasnt any patrons when i walked pass it. Then i wondered if its really good...

I chose the mint lava cake and the vanilla bean ice cream to go with. All i can say is, i was very disappointed. The temperature of the ice cream box wasnt cold enough and the ice cream melt a little too fast, and it was too sweet. The quality isnt there. As for the brownie, i am not a fan of it, after eating 3 mouthful, i gave up. It was too sweet and the texture of the cake is hard.

Will not go back again.

The earl grey fan OK Dec 10, 2013

I am a big fan of earl grey and went all the way to try when a friend ring me and told me about it.

The interior is quite spacious and cool. it was quite packed on a morning, i supposed people eat there after exercising at botanical gardens?

Tried the earl grey dessert but it wasn't good enough... quite disappointing. The flavor is not there.

The earl grey tea tasted like any tea that can be easily found outside.

Most tables are eating the breakfast but we had somewhere else in the planning, perhaps will drop by again.

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Breakfast)

Very crowded at lunch! Smile Dec 10, 2013

Its a full house at lunch and many men with suits are seen in this cosy cafe. Pies and coffee were seen flying off shelves while i queue to order my food. Was half worried that the pie will be gone when i reach the cashier.

Was really lucky when i am left with 1 of each pie to choose from. Chose the chilli beef pie and i was asked to find a seat and they will serve.

Cut the pie top crust and the fillings were filled to the brim, very generous. And the best part is, it is moist and it is filling for a lunch.

Tried their matcha latte this round as i seem to be addicted to their caramel latte all the time. Their matcha latte is not bad, it will be better if its extra hot.
