Porky noodle Smile Feb 17, 2013

noodle

I had mee pok(flat noodle) dry. The noodle tasted very springy aka qq cos the way it was cooked. Observed the guy would cook the noodle in hot water, when it was cooked he would dipped it into cold water. While cooking the noodle he would cook the ingredients. I ordered the big bowl which was $6. They are very generous with the mince meat, also as per the original stall ask for more vinegar.

This eastern branch had been closed for renovation since last year, it was only opened the beginning of the year. The staffs there are mostly new, didn't see the staffs previously there. I was introduced to this super teh aka Frostyz tea by one of the previous staffs there. I like the taste, it had a mixture of tea with horlick and blended with ice. Can also asked with or without whip cream, in my case I like it original without whip cream.

Breakfast at Toast box Smile Feb 16, 2013

Boulo set

Boulo set

Ordered the Bou Lo bun set for breakfast. The set consists of 2 eggs, a cup of tea or coffee and a bou lo bun with a thick slice of butter. Looking at the size of the eggs, it was from a large size. My partner commented that it was bigger than some of the other chains. The bou lo bun was very soft, when I took a bite I can feel the sweetness of it. The tea was good not too thick or thin, just right. Total damage $4.80 for the set and $2.00 for the cold barley drink.

The Teh Tarik here is good stuff cannot bluff one. I had been drinking from this stall for a long time I can remember. Whenever I'm there, have a sit the Teh Tarik will be served. This is what I call real customer service. One thing though if you don't like it too sweet you can ask for less sweet, which I was told they will only add condense milk and no sugar. The Teh Tarik also known as pull tea taste thick and very fragrant. This is a very popular stall among the office people here.

This stall is very popular with the residents in Beo crescent mention good food Beo crescent hainan curry rice will be the first to come to mind. Come anytime in the morning there will always be a queue about 7-8 persons. The popular dishes are the fried crispy pork and cabbage. Eating the crispy pork is akin to eating "keropok".

The plate of rice is covered with curry, lor sauce and cabbage gravy together with crispy pork, curry chicken and cabbage. This makes a heavenly dish. Total damage for today's lunch - $4.80.
