Supper at Burger king Cry Mar 05, 2013

We had gone to the airport to send a good friend off. Since his flight was after midnight we decide to catch something to eat and fellowship before he flies off.

Since my friend was not hungry I ordered extra fries and onion rings and a drink for him. I ordered the BK singles Mushroom Swiss for myself. The fries and the onion rings were ok.

I was very disappointed with the Mushroom Swiss burger. The bread tasted hard and dry. The burger I had was way much different from the picture shown.

But I must also admit the service by the staffs was still good despite the food.

Fish soup Smile Mar 05, 2013

As I was queuing for the soup I could see a newspaper explaining what type of fish and cooking method. The owner uses 100% fish meat for his fried fish slices, with no flour batter was used.

This time round I choose to order the soup without milk, I just wanted clear soup. The sliced fish tasted fresh no fishy taste, the fried one were just as tasty. The soup base tasted sweet, which makes it light for the stomach to digest.

Peanut butter toast for tea Smile Mar 04, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

Toast box is one of the places that offer my all time time favorite thick peanut butter toast. A generous amount of their signature peanut butter is spread onto the freshly grilled toast. It tasted crusty on the outside and soft inside.

A thick peanut butter set cost $4.90. The set includes a peanut butter toast, two eggs (hard/soft boiled) and cup of either tea or coffee.

Ayam Penyat  Smile Mar 04, 2013

This stall caught my eyes from the position I sat. I loved eating fried chicken especially the Ayam Penyat. I had to order this to share with my partner since we both had already eaten. A closer look at the stall reveals the many styles the chickens was cooked.

The chicken was fried nicely till golden brown. I don't quite like the breast meat they served, when I bit off the meat it was very dry. I should have asked for the thigh instead. The sambal sauce tasted very power, not too spicy for my liking.

The bowl of soup comes standard for every dish we order. At least this has some vegetables in it.

The price is $5.80 for a nice meal.

Cheap Japanese lunch Smile Mar 04, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Food Court

Got an outing to Marina Square. Had lunch here, decided to go for Japanese food. This stall seems to be very popular especially their Soba fish dish. I tried their grilled beef set since the picture looks good.

The beef very tender and the gravy slightly on the sweetish side. This dish came with lots of bean sprouts and onions.

The rice very fragrant and soft.

Comes with a bowl of soup which includes fish ball, cabbages and fish cake.

Overall this is a very value for money dish.
