It was not a tough thing to find Vegetarian Food at Hougang area, at least I knew Tian De stall which located at Fa Fa Foodcourt. Healthier choice to eat Vegan food instead of meaty meal, I don’t mind to take it occasionally. The stall occupied not too huge space, looked neat and hygiene. Extensive Menu, service was rather friendly attentive. Back to our seats after telling the staff our table number, food arrived impressively within 10 minutes.

The unique taste of the black olive veggie gave a twist to the dull fried rice, simple aromatic while marvelous tasty. Ingredients were nothing luxury, Eggs, Corns, Carrot cubes, Shredded Cabbage, Green Beans and importantly Olive Vegetables. Fluffy rice was totally cooled before frying process, it was the secret to present a good fried rice. Stir-fried along to achieve a maximum delicious level, rice was spongy without excessive oily. Every spoon was fully satisfied, especially with little fiery chilli. Portion was definitely essential and filling, price reasonably at $4.00.

^Best Claypot To Share^26/03/2014 Smile Apr 06, 2014

With more than two decades of history, Geylang Claypot Rice had delighted patron’s appetite at least three generations of Singaporean. Strongly recommended by a friend, I was curious to find out more and decided to take my late dinner over there. Reservation was recommended to avoid disappointment, the stall was too famous to visit. Just like what I expected, the place was lively crowded upon arrived. Except a little stuffy, the environment was still considered not bad with friendly service provided. It took quite a while to get our order done, the chef cooked everything from the scratch.

One of the signature recipe, sizzling pot of rice was the must-order dish. I can understand that Charcoal cooking was the best way to infuse nice smoky flavour, chicken was juicy fragrant and well-marinated. Stir-fried on our own, the rice was perfectly mixed with Salted-fish, Chicken, Chinese Pork Sausage and veggie. Crunchy burnt bits of rice sticked at the bottom were awesome, impressive wonderful texture and taste for me. Best eaten while it was still hot, portion was rather generous. Overall was a satisfied meal, I don’t mind to travel here again to try out other specialties.

Needless to say, I am a Seafood lover especially fish. Followed my friend to the place that I was not ever been, we settled our lunch over there. Never expect the humble stall located neighbourhood area was serving high-quality five-star Western cum Italian Cuisine. Menu was extensive, reasonable to like the place. Everything was clean and neat, boss was a friendly guy with super prompt service.

Golden battered fillet was mouthwatering, it served hot and crisp. Freshly from stove, pieces on plate were precious although a very common dish among Western food. Deep-fried to perfection, fish was not too mushy with a crunchy skin. Drizzle of Mayonnaise was awesome, tasteful stylish and enlighten overall. Came with healthy small bowl of coleslaw, freezing moment was impressive to eat along and fantastically chilling. French Fries were put on bottom, delighting funky sticks always. No doubt the portion was not that huge, yet it was enough to satisfy my hungry tummy. Price at $5.50, the plate was definitely worth the value of money.

Hidden gem at Toa Payoh area, Creamier is now reflected a very popular chill out spot for youngsters even elderly. Unlike my previous visit, café was filled to the brim. Seats were all cramped together, we shared table with friendly strangers. Not many places can do waffles on the spot, scent was impressive upon stepping in the eatery. I guessed it was the selling point, irresistible fresh from oven. Talk about waiting time, please give them some patience.

With signature Sea-salt Gula Melaka and Roasted Pistachio, waffle at the bottom was warm and crispy. Ice-cream melted pretty fast, we hurried up to scoop it and eat it. Finely made without artificial ingredient added, texture was firmly solid. Slightly sweet and creamy, the taste was not overwhelming. Never try out Pistachio flavour before, I was not so fancy on first sip. Yet after that, it was so addictive. Sea-salt wise, taste was creatively salty. Both was a perfect match with waffle, generous serving with maple and chocolate syrup. Price was $7.50 with single scoop ice-cream on waffle, not cheap but enjoyable moment to have the dessert.

Looking for something healthy low calories, I was little obsessive to watch out my weight and revise my diet plan recently. Followed my friend to have our dinner, we came to order at Seng Ji Seafood Garden. This was the famous restaurant, at least regular patrons were a lot.
The Stall

The Stall

Stall was basically well-maintained, clean and neat in appearance. Menu was put on table, quite numerous pages to browse. Ladyboss greeted us politely, she attentively recommended us the signature dishes.

Beautiful humble claypot with assorted veggies served, combination was highly nutritious. Baby Corns, Carrots, Lettuce, Cabbage, Broccoli, Onions, Shrimps and Squids were added in, gray was flavourful enough to accompany plain rice. Prawn was fresh obviously, texture was springy firm. Some may use darkening soy sauce, but it didn’t. Shinny on surface which stir-fried until maximum fragrant, bowl was very appetizing. Taste wise, veggies were milder version and with little ginger aroma. Portion was generous, can served up to two persons. Price at $5.00, it considered worth-while and affordable.
