This dish is one of our usual home-made meals, either taken with porridge or rice. Only difference this time: I’d added pine nuts & cut up some red & green Capsicums (bell peppers) to make flowers/leaves for decoration since it was for my Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner, & gave it a nice name to impress my guests.

So let this Prosperity Pork with Pine Nuts tickle your taste buds! Make an impact on your family & guests with this 5-star dish from Shirley’s Kitchen!

Ingredient and Portion
1 red Capsicum (flowers)
1 green Capsicum (leaves)
250g minced Pork
2 tsp Pine nuts
2 tsp Black bean paste
1 tsp minced Ginger
½ tsp minced Garlic
1 tsp Sesame oil
1 tsp Chinese wine
½ tsp Corn flour
1 tbsp Cooking oil
Pepper to taste

Method
Marinade pork with bean paste, pepper & flour for an hour. Set aside.

Wash Capsicums & remove seeds. Make flower & leaf patterns using moulds. Dice the remaining bell peppers.

Heat oil & sauteed garlic & ginger. Add pork & stir-fry for about 3 mins. Put in diced Capsicums & half of Pine nuts, sesame oil, wine & continue cooking for another 2 mins.

Dish pork into bowl & press hard. Overturn pork onto plate & top with remaining nuts. Decorate with flowers & leaves & you’re ready to impress your guests!
