Tired of the plain old white rice? Make it a fried pumpkin rice and it's already a complete meal.
Ingredient and Portion
Ingredients
Pumpkin
Chicken/pork
2 cups of rice
Water
Garlic
Marinade
1 tablespoon of dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon of light soya sauce
A few drops of sesame oil
Seasoning
Dark Soya Sauce (Optional)
Method
Procedure
1. Wash and cut the pork/chicken.
2. Add in the marinade and leave it to marinate for about an hour or so.
3. Cut the pumpkin into cubes.
4. Stir fry the garlic and chicken for about 1 to 2 minutes.
5. Add in the pumpkin and stir fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
6) Add in the rice and stir fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
7. Add in water to cover the rice and let it cook for about 30 minutes.
8. Add more dark soya sauce if you like. Serve rice.
