For those who live in the west, you may not have heard of Punggol Park. It’s a rather new location with and up and coming night scene. There are restaurants, bars and even a prawning area there. There is also Popeyes. And Popeyes is probably the most pocket friendly and family friendly place there. It is also located near the running track and the canal so you can take a stroll after your meals. One problem is parking. Do go early because parking tends to run out especially on weekend nights. Punggol park is also not very accessible as yet (the area is still being developed), so driving is recommended. Another problem is Popeyes has very limited tables, so seats run out fast and the ques are long. Of course, getting a takeaway and having picnic at the park benches is still an option – if you don’t mind the mosquitoes. As for their food, I always love their biscuit. Its not really what we consider a biscuit in Singapore – think its more of a scone. It tastes equally great having it with jam (if you have a sweet tooth, do ask for more than 1 packet of jam as they only serve one packet of jam) or on its own (the crust is slightly salty so it wouldn’t taste bland at all). I also tried their fish burger which was a letdown because the fish had hardly any taste – all I tasted was the breaded bit. But the portion was a bit too much for me.
