We tried the Chicken curry cheese set at ichiban. Chicken curry cheese is basically a hot plate dish made up of fried chicken swimming in thick curry gravy with carrots and a slice of cheese ontop. When served, the gravy is already boiling hot, but the fire is still lit so that your cheese can melt. I suggest not stiring the melted cheese in because it tastes better that way. When served, the gravy is already boiling hot, but the fire is still lit so that your cheese can melt. I suggest not stiring the melted cheese in because it tastes better that way. Once the cheese is melted, you should blow out the fire (takes a few tries) to avoid having smoke in your face. The set consists of miso soup, rice, tempura and2 small pieces of watermelon. Overall i think the curry version is nicer than the chicken curry. The chicken somehow still manages to retain its crispiness, which is great!

And also because theres a promotion for Japanese Fish Cake ($4 for 4 pieces, takeaway), we bought all 4 different flavours of fish cake. The flavours are: Ebi, vegetable tempura, octopus and squid. I liked the ebi ones best. However, you should eat them soon after purchase as they don't taste as nice cold.
