After watching Channel 8’s Buffetlicious programme, this was really tempting me. Eventually we found the chance to try it with the long weekend. I called for reservation, coming Saturday and Monday booking were full, sounds really popular. We have no choice to have it on Sunday, anyway, it didn’t really matter to us. We reached there 5 minutes earlier but they could only open for seating at 3pm sharp. We saw some early diners were waiting too. It was a busy day as it was almost full house. We were arranged for a table for 2 along the aisle behind the big column. Quickly browse the food, there aren’t many choices though, quite standard high tea type of food, cold and warm dishes, mini sandwiches and desserts. I was looking forward to trying the Philippines Lala(giant clam) and durian penget. They serve the normal clam as well, it has to compare these 2 types of clams than ones would know the winner was Philippines lala, it has the natural sweetness, texture wise it was chewy, not rubbery. Pretty soon lala was empty, we noted that the speed for refill was inefficient, there was a bowl of lala shell without meat, they stayed there for long and not a single service crew noted with replacement! After a substantial time then it has replaced. Salmon open sandwich was popular too, it served two times only. Deep fry chicken wing was featured on TV too, it was a let down to me, it wasn’t crispy at all and I felt that it left there for long time.

I didn't eat the rest of the cooked food as they didn't attract me. I was looking forward to eating durian penget, first taste~not so sweet, second taste~actually it was quite bland!

It was a pricey high tea for my judgement!
