Hmm I really think Dian Xiao Er is overrated. Can someone enlighten me what is so good about the duck. For those of you who do not know, dian xiao er is famous for its duck dish. This is our plate of dang gui duck. I mean it is not that bad but judging from the number of rave reviews from blogs / friends and family, i really do not see why this dish is so well received. The meat is tough. and it is not just this one visit but the many times i visit dian xiao er, i always find the duck too skinny

I prefer this other dish we ordered, the mince pork with egg plant. It was lovely with our white rice.
