I personally love Men-ichi's ramen but never tried the Shoyu Tonkotsu, or their char siew. The soup is similar to the tonkotsu soup, thick and sweet, and seriously I don't notice the shoyu (soy sauce) taste. The char siew definitely isn't the best ramen char siew I've had. However, as usual, the ramen is springy and goes well with the soup. Overall, as a frequent customer, I was disappointed by the ramen. The soup was not too different and I threw away all the char siew after the first bite. Men-ichi has a wide selection of tasty ramen, so I'd recommend something else like Curry Cheese Ramen or Teriyaki Salmon (tonkotsu) ramen.
