The first time that i have tried Lao Ban Beancurd was the time i tried it at the Old Airport Road hawker centre. Ever since then, i have been craving for this bean curd but of course at a more convenient location.

On a Saturday afternoon after shopping at the Army Market at Golden Mile Food Centre 2nd level, i decided to have lunch at that same location. Level 1 and B1 serves different kinds of food. For example, the basement level serve more Muslim cuisine. On the 1st level serves a more Chinese cuisine.

After a hearty meal at the 1st level of the food centre, i decided to have some have a quality check on the stall just to see the consistency of the bean curd. The location of this stall is situated very distinctly at the corner with a very big and yellow sign board. You would not be able to miss the stall.

Ok firstly for the bean curd, since i decided to take away the bean curd it would let me experiment on how the bean curd will taste like since i usually devour the dessert. I decided to savor it tasting it bit by bit and a little by little. Tasting the bean curd, i saw the skin on the top and the way it jiggles. Unlike other Bean curd stalls that i tried, there is no layer of sugar syrup present. I took the opportunity to cut the bean curd into a few pieces to see about the residue of the bean curd and found something white and it looked to me as if it is had a little Soy Milk.

The taste did not disappoint me as well because it maintained its smoothness and the freshness. I just had a little chat with the lady at the stall and asked her if it is all under 1 boss who delivers and distributes the bean curd and she said that it is being distributed in the morning and all the outlets are the same. I did this because personally i just wanted to find out the credibility of the stall because i did not know much about this stall except that it tasted very good. I got to know a little bit about this stall because of my curiosity.

Here is how you get to the army market for some who are not sure of how to get there. I usually head over to Lavender MRT on the East West Line. Once you reach the MRT, you have to take the exit that leads towards the ICA. Turn left before the ICA and head towards the connector, walk towards the blocks and keep walking straight through the blocks. You should walk straight all the way and you should spot a small police post. Once you see that, you should walk slightly left and keep on walking straight. You should aim for the concourse because Golden Mile Food Centre is around there.
