After eating the awesome food at the chinatown branch, I couldn't resist queuing for this again at a place nearer to my house! I like the consistency of the porridge, not too thick and not too watery. But this porridge was on the thicker side which makes it feel like more work has been put into cooking it! HAHA! There were also many fish slices inside which tasted really fresh and I'm so glad there isn't any small bones that are sometimes overlooked by the chef.

To complement the simple porridge, I also ordered the claypot sesame oil chicken ($11.90). I like that the dish came out piping hot! REALLY hot! you can see the steam from the dish itself in the photograph. However, it tasted a little too salty on its own. Luckily I had the bland porridge which was enhanced by the saltiness of the chicken. I created a good combination! YAY!

I also saw other patrons who seem to be eating some type of claypot rice which smells really fragrant! Will try it the next time round
