I heard about Salute Coffeeshop for a while now (yeah hipster coffeeshops do get a lot of hype) and i've always wanted to try it but haven't really got the time to do so. But hey guess what, Jack Ripper (one of the stalls at the Salute Coffeeshop) has kindly invited me to try out their gourmet burgers last weekend! You know i love a good burger.
Presenting heir Ripper's Classic Burger ($16) which consists of a thick, juicy all natural beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions! I also got the Swine & Roses ($18) – the pork patty was stuffed with sage and apple, topped off with mustard, cheese and sauteed onions. LOVE THAT ONE. If you're looking for something other than the regular beef patty, do give the pork one a shot. The patties were all full of flavour; sandwiched between two fluffy brioche buns that were toasted to a nice crunch. Yum.
Jack Ripper also serves free milkshake with every burger purchased (a limited time only promotion!). If you're not into milkshake, you'd be happy to know that they have beers on tap too. Who says no to good burgers and ice cold beer, right!? So if you're around the area, do pop by and try it out.
