It was a really relaxed afternoon for buffet. The spread is sumptous and covers a wide range of choices. The seafood section is great, especially the shells. Will be back next time in MBS...

The cooked food isn't too bad. It's worth to give it a try too!

Currently RISE has a promotion. Instead of paying for 4,use a UOB credit card and pay for 3 instead!

The bread pudding was a tad cold so it wasn't that great, and my first serving of the roast beef was sliced by a chef who didn't quite know how to slice it properly.

I had asked for less pasta on my pesto pasta but it turned out that my pasta barely had any pesto sauce to it and hence, tasted quite bland.

Sashimi spread included Tuna, Salmon, and Octopus--mediocre and decently fresh. Oysters were really good but ran out in the blink of an eye. Their mayo sauce with the fish eggs and scallops were really tasty though.

While you can order Coffee and Tea, you can also order hot chocolate

Their mango mochi was really yummy and their ice cream sorbets are comparable to haagen dazs standard.

The most important thing about buffets, especially when there's such a wide selection is to plan what you want to eat. For me I'll recommend skipping the salads first because compared to the other dishes available, there is simply no point wasting stomach space on salad! Don't attack the bread too early on as well as it can really fill you up fast and you might be full too fast.

Seafood is a must try! Their seafood is fresh and tasty especially when it comes to the oysters and mussels. Eat them with the sauces for extra zing! Although their sashimi isn't as good and fresh as the sashimi from other restaurants (e.g. Ikoi, Sushi Tei), you can still try some but do focus more on their seafood, trust me on this. Do attack the meats well, and consume as much as you can! The carvings and meat available are all well cooked and prepared, and delicious to a mind boggling standard! And of course do leave space for desserts! There's so much choices available, so do choose wisely when it comes to desserts as you will most likely not be able to taste all the desserts available.

Do keep in mind that Rise buffet can be rather pricey, but then again you pay for what you get, and what you get is unlimited tasty goodness so if you're willing to fork out the money, this is a good investment!

Their cakes are suitable for all ages as the sweetness level is in the acceptable range and not very sweet. The ambiance of the place gave a cozy feeling and is suitable for people who likes to have their meal in a slow and relaxing way.

I ordered prawn noodles soup (CAUSE I WAS SICK
) while my friends ordered nasi lemak and fried kuay teow! The serving was in general really huge!!

Unfortunately, the taste of my prawn noodle soup was mehhhhh, i think i can easily find better ones in hawker centres. But i have to say that the prawns was super huge and fresh (my only comfort). I tried my friends' nasi lemak and fried kuay teow and they tasted so much better than mine! So people who plan to dine here, please order their nasi lemak or fried kuay teow instead. The local platter that we have ordered was also not too bad! It consists of satay, fried spring roll and seafood-cake i think?

The taste of these 3 dishes was not too bad!! However, given the price, I don't think I will come here to dine again (unless I am going to stay in MBS hotel) Plus the food is not that awesome!!

Next, I filled up my plate with Indian cuisine. As usual, it was heavy-flavoured. Personally, I would recommend this spicy fish. It tasted a bit like Tomyam and the fish was obviously fresh.

Last but not least, it was the most critical food for me. I prefer sweet rather than savory. Although I was very full but I just cannot resist the dessert, I cannot skip this part.
Overall, we enjoyed our outing and we chatted over the night. I love this kind of gathering and I gained a lot from their experiences sharing.

Ate buffet at this place a couple of times during lunch hour. The varieties of food is good, from local food, to japanese food. Dessert has a wide spread too. Hence, alot of food to eat to feel your stomach. The ambience is definitely good, after all it is located in Marina Bay Sands itself, a place where tourists will visit. This is a place not to be missed out if you are into eating buffet.

The wonderful but expensive buffet at MBS' Rise Restaurant needs no introduction. However when you're not having the buffet, or are arriving without a reservation, the staff will seat you together with the lounge/bar patrons. While the armchairs are comfy, the low, tiny coffee tables are ill suited to diners having their meals. The Friday night we were there, all the staff were Filipinos. The few local staff that were here at our last visit are all gone, or it could be their day off. We've no problems with Filipino staff but sometimes we do like to be left alone.

The a la carte menu at Rise is very limited with several types of pastas, a handful of popular entrees like Fish & Chips and less than ten local dishes. We settled for the Chicken Rice $25++ and Nasi Goreng $22++. The chicken rice was good but unremarkable. The Nasi Goreng is lousy. The rice itself was bland & I could eat it only by asking for a saucer of sambal to mix with the rice. The chicken wing was too thickly coated with batter & had been overcooked so it was not just bland but too chewy as well. The prawn cracker was all flour & had no prawn flavour, thus only the achar passed the taste test. The satays tasted ok but were not warm so they had probably been grilled in bulk earlier in the day and two sticks plonked at the side of my plate of nasi goreng before serving. So if you're visiting this restaurant, call ahead to place reservations for the buffet. Forget the a la carte food here.

Also, be prepared to stuff your face with chocolate strawberries, freshly coated with warm chocolate from the fondue section. Those with kids might want to indulge them in M&Ms just for this meal.
