 Tempura of dory fillet, fat cut chips, crushed peas and sauce tartare. I like the super curved up shape of their fish & chips, very presentable! The tempura dory fillet was extremely tender inside and crispy outside but the overall taste was a tad bland . The fat cut chips was decent. This main course is very popular here!

 Salmon & cod potato cake, buttered spinach, lemon beurre blanc and tomato caraway relish. Did not expect this to taste good.. The salmon and cod was moist and tender on the inside, and crispy on the outside, complemented well with nice lemon sauce!

This time round, I settled for one Ploughman's Table buffet (SGD$28.00). I attacked the Prosciutto ham, Cocktail Shrimps, Smoked Salmon and salad.  The fish was crispy on the outside; the flesh was luscious in flavour and smooth in texture; it was a huge slab but we got through it rather quickly because it was just delicious. The potato fingers were crackling on the exterior and contained mashed potato within - perfect for potato and wedges lovers.

 We also ordered a Gnocchi (SGD$39.00) as well, since there were 5 of us - slow braised shredded lamb shoulder, potato pasta, pine nuts, cranberry, red wine jus, goat cheese and sage. The potato pasta was sticky like glutinous rice balls, but lighter in texture, with a more powdery interior. The shredded lamb strips were most delicious in taste, and complements the potato pasta extremely well.

The cozy, posh restaurant (by day) and lounge (by night) is done in lovely shades of luscious brown and sleek wood. There are several dining areas - bar counters and 2-3 different sitting areas all done in a sophisticated, contemporary design.
They actually had the famous Ploughman's Table, lined with delicious selection of salads, charcuterie (cheese and accompaniments), mini pastries and fresh fruits. I was especially enticed by the section where there's piles of succulent-looking Smoked Salmon and bouncy, juicy looking Shrimps. Once we placed our orders, we could feel free to attack the counter which was buffet concept. One could pay SGD$28.00 just to eat from the counter instead of having the set lunch
I preferred the lighter, fresher, healthier and sweeter range of appetizers such as Pink Grapefruit (very sweet and juicy!), succulent and springy Shrimp cocktail, and Salads of fresh greens. The Smoked Salmon, while being scrumptious and tender, was a tad salty in my opinion.
My main was the Roasted Angus Sirloin sandwich - complete with onion marmalade, wholegrain mustard bread , arugula, fat cut chips and 33.1 Blond Lager infused ketchup. The bread was a little hard, but was a necessary texture to conquer the strong flavors of the onion marmalade and tasty minced beef steak - this steak was a neat delight of savoury and sweet blend.The fat cut chips would have been lovely if crispier.

 I chose the Burger & Chips Set Meal as my main course. While the presentation is really pretty, I think that the price is not justified as the food is really quite average. The streaky bacon perched on the beef patty was slightly tough to bite. On the other hand, I must say that the beef patty was quite juicy though.

The buffet area was a little messy and I noticed that they did not really refill the buffet dessert bar fast enough - it starts to run out pretty quickly! The way they are organizing their lunch sets, it might be more convenient for the staff but it is not going to attract repeat visitors because I would have tried almost everything in one seating. They might consider changing their buffet styled-dessert and salad bar to attract more return customers.

I was contemplating between Wagyu beef patty and Wagyu Beef striploin, but decided on the latter as beef patty didnt sound juicy enuff. I guess I made a wrong choice ~ the beef patty definitely tasted much better. And we though the quail egg sunny side-up looked cute on the patty. Hahahha

Among the few main courses we had, the fish & chips was the best. Despite the funny "U" shape presentation, the fish was generally fresh and crispy.

Overall, I think the executive set lunch was quite a good deal with a good appetizer/ dessert spread and a decent main course (depending on your choice), coupled with a good dining ambiance overseeing MBS and singapore river.

The ketchup was also infused with their in-house brewed Larger!

What's unique about this restaurant is that it houses its very own microbrewery where they conjure up a variety of craft beers, which you can enjoy fresh from the tap. I didn't quite enjoy my lunch that day (since it was a business meeting afterall), but I would definitely love to re-visit this restaurant again with my friends.

The rosti was really crispy, pretty like a bird’s nest, it was almost heartbreaking to tear apart. Beef patty was delectable, moist and tender. Completely delicious when paired together with the rosti and the eggs.

Juicy fat chicken sausage with crispy and perfectly cooked savoury bacon , goes well with the rustic bread and side of roasted tangy tomato. This meal is most suited for weekend nocturnals like me who wakes up past breakfast hours to start the saturday!

Lastly, before I forget , eggs , specially flown in from new zealand’s free range, are the limelight that comes with all the dishes above. Eggs to me as long as from chickens, tastes pretty much similar, so I’m guessing the hype is due to it being “organic”.

The bar counter separates the main dining area with the buffet table which they call Ploughman's Table. There are also bar types of seats which gives you a good overview of the cityscape outside but it can be a little glaring during lunch time i must say. Its fixed menu here by the way with around 8 choices for mains. i did not have a chance to snap a photo of my mains but i ordered the beef burger which includes roasted wagyu striploin sandwich, onion marmalade wholegrain mustard, water cress, fat cut chips and 33.1 lager infused ketchup. The patty was thich, slightly grilled on the outside but still retaining pink within. Pretty good i must say. The buffet spread was also quite decent with salads to sashimi to prawns to cakes and fruits.

 We headed out of the bar and sit there to gaze the sky and the awesome buildings right in front of our eyes. It captures the moment of overall marina sand bay and esplanade and we can also see Fullerton Hotel as well. Share the photos of the night view which we stayed for few hours later to enjoy that beautiful moments.

We spent the evening there and waited for the lights to be up and it was worthwhile to admire the lights at night.It would be nice to go with your partner enjoying the moment together and gazing each other.It would be so ideal for me at least.Day dreaming again..

 Their famous in-house beer was the Blonde Lager in light colours and followed by the Pale Ale that we only ordered 2 glasses. If you ever wonder how much is the beer for each glass?It is 0.5litre. They served 0.3litre and 0.5litre and two prices at day time and night time after 8pm.

I had never had any food here, but have been here several times for drinks. The view is simply unbeatable. It gets very crowded on weekdays as it is in the business district. We like to come on the weekends where it is quiet.On clear day, it is best to come in the evening so that it is not so hot and you can sit out and soak in the awesome view of the entire marina bay.  Beer is decent but nothing life changing. The view alone is enough for me to come back. Especially good when you bring visitors who will always be awed by it. Stay for the sunset and you get to see both the day and night view.
