The chicken pieces inside are also tasty, with 2 different types of sliced lap cheong/Chinese sausages and green vegetables. My only gripe is that the amount of vegetables is measly. They should include more as those types of vegetables are really cheap. Also, some people like it when there are charred bits of rice at the bottom of the claypot but I would prefer if there was less of this and for the rice to be more moist.

The stall also sells a variety of soups like watercress soup, old cucumber soup and lotus soup. They all go really well with the claypot rice

I usually come to ABC Market after lifesaving training with the other members for dinner/supper! As my friend have been raving about how good this claypot rice stall is, I needed to try it! Also, I can't remember the last time I had claypot rice as I don't usually see it everywhere. I guess the preparation is tedious and time consuming?By the way, the stall owners don't sell it just for one person, they only sell it for a portion of 2 or more. So it's $10 for 2pax, $15 for 3pax etc. Luckily my f

We ordered the claypot chicken rice and it came about 10-15 minutes later. When it arrived, I can actually smell the fragrance of the claypot rice. I can't wait to savour it! The chicken meat is very tender and succulent, and it goes well with the soy sauce rice, vegetables and preserved sausage. It is worth the wait!

This is another famous stall in ABC. My hubby queued for this while I ordered the laksa. Each claypot is only cooked upon order which explains the long waiting time for the claypot. The rice having mixed up with all the juices from the ingredients as well as the dark sauce is also very flavourful. We finished every bit of it, even the crispy parts sticking to the claypot!

The claypot rice here is pretty good. The dark sauce used is of a relatively good quality. It is not the kind that screams salty nor the ones that are excessively sweet. It is a balanced sauce that mixes well with the marinated chicken chunks and 'lap cheong'. I enjoyed the blend of the salty chicken with the slightly sweet 'lap cheong'. The rice combines well with these ingredients too. However, I don't like the 'burnt' and hard pieces of rice that sticks to the sides of the claypot cos they ta

The claypot rice comes with chunks of chicken, 'lap cheong', salted fish and green vege. The dark sauce for the rice is very tasty. I would say that the taste is just right, not too sweet, not too salty. This claypot rice will certainly charm those people who like the crispy rice that gets a little burnt and stuck to the claypot. It's yummy...though unhealthy. The chicken chunks are generous and delicious. There was a mix of chicken breast and chopped portions of the drumstick. Good claypot rice, especially if you happen to live or work around there, but it's not that good if you need to travel far to get here. I think there are better ones out there.

i love the claypot rice at abc brickworks food centre. I think it is one of the most fragrant ones I have tasted. The chicken is very nicely marinated. It is tender and juicy. the rice is not so hard. The black sauce adds an extra flavor to the rice. too bad this place’s claypot rice do not have a lot of salted fish. It is so rare to find a piece.

I would love it more if they add in more salted fish and black soya sauce as the rice was not aromatic enough.
