The stall owner has been plying his trade for years and the experience shows in the final product – the oyster omelette that you eat!
You can order:
- Oyster Omelette: $4/ $5/ $8
- Oyster and Prawn Omelette – I only knew they had this at my last visit.
The oyster omelette is crispy and the oysters are well fried. Dipped in the chilli sauce,
Unfortunately, the stall owner does not allow you to order more oysters in your dish, even if you are prepared to pay more. The only way is to order the larger portion and thus you get more oyster and omelette!
The stall only opens from 2pm on weekends and 3pm on weekdays. They usually sell out by about 7pm. Go early to avoid disappointment!
Although I loved this dish very much, I always have a word of caution to myself: Eat in moderation!
Highly-Recommended!

had craving for oyster omelette and hence decided to try out this stall that my friend recommended. had to wait about 20min for my order even though it is in the late afternoon and the market was rather quiet. i think there were quite a few takeaway orders. we ordered the small size which cost 4 bucks. the serving was quite small and in bits and pieces instead of complete pieces. it tasted average and i find it too salty. overall we were quite disappointed and and find it overrated.

My all time favourite hawker food is Oyster Omelette. And the best oyster omelette you can find in Singapore is located here at Toa Payoh Lorong 7. My all time favourite hawker food is Oyster Omelette. And the best oyster omelette you can find in Singapore is located here at Toa Payoh Lorong 7.

In my book, there is no other oyster omelette in Singapore that even comes remotely close to it.

Manned by the friendly husband and wife owners, they make oyster omelette perfection. Firstly, it is not oily despite the crispy bits of starch and egg. The worst kind of oyster omelette is the soggy and starchy kind. No problems with that here. The balance between crispy and starch is just nice. The starchy bits are chewy without being gooey. They also use a generous amount of eggs to give the omelette a very good texture. The chilli is also just right, not too spicy with just enough sourness to cut through the oil.

But the créme de la résistance of course is the oysters. They top the omelette with a generous helping of big, fresh and juicy oysters that just makes the dish perfect.

They are closed on Tuesday and opened from 3-9pm daily although they are normally sold out by 8pm. My personal guarantee that once you try it, you wont want to eat oyster omelette elsewhere.

This stall is strongly recommended by a good friend. I made an effort to come here to try it. I was amazed by its high standard. This is indeed one of the better fried oysters in Singapore. The portion was generous as compared to the other famous stall at Whampoa Food Centre. It came with many more fresh tasting oysters and though these oysters were of medium sized but quite meaty. It was nicely fried with egg to give it a nice crispiness. It was garnished with coriander when served.

I like to eat the oyster omelette here as they are not as starchy compared to other stalls. The oysters here are also very fresh and big, which are not overly cooked in this dish, so you can really feel the juicyness of it when you eat with the egg omelette. With that slight crispyness at the edges of the omelette, the whole dish taste really delicious and fragrant. The watery chilli sauce is also very appetitizing as it is quite sour and not too spicy.

If you do not like cold raw oyster, the oyster omelette would be quite ideal for you. Beaten eggs are mixed with abit of corn starch and bring to pan fry, wihch the texture is really crispy outside with some fluffy feel in between it. The oyster used is big and fresh and was slightly cook over the stove at the end of the pan frying stage which has slight cooked the oyster and yet remain the juicy and 'poke' effect during your first bite. My father saw a few tables having this orh jian (oyster omelette) and hence asked if we wanted a plate as well. I am not really a fan of it, hence I told him to get the smallest portion. He got the $3 portion, which was really quite small. I felt that the orh jian is far too oily and greasy. We all agreed that it is fortunate that we ordered the smallest portion since it is really like eating eggs soaked in oil and we counted at most 4 oysters which was really quite pathetic. I wouldn’t recommen

This fried oyster omelette is just one of the popular food at this food centre. I was recommended by friends who came here to try this stall, 9 out of 10 of them also said they like it. Personally I think this stall is not bad especially they fried till the egg is crispy and not oily. The minimum order for each plate is $4. We ordered a $4 plate and noticed that the amount of the oysters are few. I will still order it the next time if I come by again.

This is one of the really good fried oyster around. I would definitely prefer this to the other famous one at Whampoa Food Centre. The portion is always more generous with more oysters. When you eat the egg, the oyster with spring onions at one go, you can taste the nicely blend of flavors.

This is 'Die Die Must Try' indeed.
