Asked for fried fish, milky soup looked tempting. Bitter gourd was sliced thinly, messy fried eggs were generously given. Pretty savoury soup, it perfectly matched with the springy thick Meehoon. Price was $4.50, not too expensive with a huge bowl. I would said that it definitely worth a try if you are hanging around the area or need something warm filling up your stomach. To avoid any disappointment, please note that the stall was closed on Sunday.

This Fish Soup stall that is situated at Luk Lu Eating House is one of the best fish soups I have eaten! The queue is very long, especially during lunch hour. The soup is aromatic and savory and the stall owner is very generous in their serving. They offer both fried fish and white fish. Both are fresh and tender. Although it is hot and humid whenever I eat this bowl of Fish Soup, it is definitely worth it.

Have always been a fan of fish soup, and I would say this stall has one of the best fish soup. The place is very crowded during lunch, be sure to hang around to find a seat. The fried fish is good too, the fish meat inside is soft and the fish is not overfried. I like the vegetables inside, goes very well with the soup. They serve the fish soup with either yee mian or thick beehoon, both are nice. Definitely must try the fish soup here!

Nothing is more comforting than a bowl of Blanco Fish Soup on a wet and cold day. The broth is very sweet and tasty and the fish is very fresh and succulent! We made a special trip here as my mum loves fish soup and we saw a very long queue the other day. We queued for nearly 20 mins during peak lunch hours. I had the fish soup with milk and a bowl of rice. It is indeed worth the queue, as the soup is very tasty and flavourful without being overly salty. Loved the spinach they added instead of the usual cai xin you get at other places. Fish was also fresh.

The surprize was with the vegetable which i was actually given water cress (i think its water cress
) instead of the normal chye sim. Not sure if its got to do with the egg slices (50cents extra to get more slices). Taste-wise i thought it was pretty average with the Whampoa Beach Road version a lot more tasty than this. But it was refreshing to taste the different vegetable offered. Overall not a bad eat but if i would to return again, i'll probably try the claypot rice instead. My bowl of soup with rice and additional egg cost $5.50.

Looking at the long queues during lunch time despite its higher prices, I guess many will disagree with me that this Blanco Court fish soup is a far cry from the original. Is this the original Blanco Court Fish Bee Hoon, Fried Fish Soup? No matter what this is the definitely one of the best I have eaten. We ordered both the fried fish bee hoon and fried fish soup. The soup was thick and tasty with the sweetness of anchovies. One sip of the soup and I knew I am won over. The fish was also very fresh. One bite into the fried fish and how the fish meat broken down, we can tell the fish was freshly prepared on the day instead of using frozen fish meat.

What wows me more was the used of spinach and deep fried egg in the fish soup. The generous serving of spinach gave a good balance to the heavy flavouring of the soup. The fried egg was a surprise to me and my first having it for fish soup. It was a mouth drooling meal having different flavours coming together in an excellent bowl of fish soup.

I ordered a bowl of Blanco Court mixed fish soup and plain rice which cost $5.50 in total. Topped with spinach and fried egg, the tasty soup is served with numerous pieces of battered fried fish and thick slices of fresh fish. I was however disappointed that the flavors of the fish, evaporated milk and spinach somehow fail to blend with one another in the soup. Moreover, I felt that the fried egg could have been fresher and the chilli sauce less mediocre.

For me, I would finish the every bit of the soup, fish and bee hoon without fail simply because it is so satisfying. The broth is cooked with plenty of deep fried fish bones, yellow beans, ikan bilis and perhaps also pork bones. Usually the soup is mixed with condensed milk to add extra sweetness and to create a cloudy soup, but to test the mantle, you can opt the milk out of the soup to taste the lighter and original flavour. Safe to say, this stall serves their fish bee hoon with the freshest fish available, even for their fried fish. Speaking of which their fish is fried to perfection, sealing in the natural juices until you sink your teeth into a piece.

The weather and cofffeshop here are clearly not friends. The environment is hot, stuffy at this rundown coffeeshop. For some cool wind, you probably have to pray for it or takeaway to somewhere else. The queue is never ending despite it's poor environment. The soup tastes natural, does not taste like there's MSG in it. The milky looking soup makes this dish very much appealing. The fried fish is not bad and there's quite alot of vegetables to go along with, apart from the anchovies.
