We love how tender and perfectly grilled the beer can chicken was. Meat easily fell off the bones and when infused with the aroma of the beer, this is definitely one of the best beer can chickens so far in Singapore.Main dishes could be mixed and matched and customised to your liking. They serve a a fusion of Japanese + Chinese style dishes coupled with side dishes as well as alcoholic beverages.Good place to have a decent meal and some beer after work with friends. We love their beer can chicken which turned out so juicy, tender and grilled to perfection. Beer and chicken essence were also extracted out for our consumption.Mains can be mixed and matched to suit everyone's taste buds.Excellent place for a decent meal, drinks and get together time with friends.Full review here: http://ilovedawn00.blogspot.sg/2014/12/food-review-cheeky-chicky.html continue reading

Cheeky Chicky is located on the bustling north bridge road, in between lavender mrt and bugis mrt. However I think it's somewhat closer to lavender mrt! Parking was a hassle at 12pm on a saturday, we ended up parking 5 blocks down..We had made a reservation but spent 30 minutes looking for a parking lot. Called in to let them know we were late, and a young and friendly lady said she would hold the table for us. Here is the their menu, you pick a meat, chicken, salmon etc. I strongly recommend you to just pick chicken, it's their best!!! As a salmon lover, I liked their salted egg chicken the best!! You get to pick sauces, and again salted egg is the clear winner here, even though at our table we tried a variety of sauces. Pick a carb... chicken rice was kinda oily but nice, the pasta was too cheesy for my liking.. and it was indeed spicy.. and the best choice for me was the okonomiyaki. It was crispy, wasn't drenched in oil, and the sauce and bonito flakes made it the clear winner.. It's not common to see okonomiyaki offered in a restaurant that offers rice or pasta, and I'm so glad to have picked okonomiyaki!Using a deal voucher, I got the salted egg salmon and okonomiyaki for $12.90 with a miso soup, ice cream and iced green tea. The salmon was okay, but the salted egg made it super oily.. but I enjoyed the salmon but the salted egg chicken was way better. My friend commented that his teriyaki black pepper salmon was very dry, but my salted egg salmon was tender..The glorious salted egg!! but the pasta tasted too spicy for me and it had overpowering cheese.. but nonetheless I will be back for more salted egg chicken!!  The truffle fries for $8.90 was okay, again except for the over powering parmesan cheese!! too much cheese!! could barely taste the truffle oil flavour.. continue reading
