Full review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/doi-chaang-coffee-specialty-coffee-with-a-storyFollow Lepak With Yaops on Instagram and FacebookThe story of Doi Chaang Coffee started around 1983 in a small village that is set in the mountainous region of the Chang Rai province of Northern Thailand. Home grown and cultivated by the Akha people, the Doi Chaang Village is home to 8,000 people within eight hundred families, all living and primarily working together to cultivate and produce a premium organic, single estate Arabica coffee.Design of the outlet was kept simple and neat, likewise for the menu which sells beverages, wraps, cakes and a small selection of pastries. It is said that Doi Chaang Coffee are naturally low in caffeine, that's probably one of the reason why I found it 'sweeter' than expected.Nothing fanciful and special about Doi Chaang in general. More likely a comfortable place to chill if you aren't fussy with the drinks and food. continue reading

Located in Rochester Mall which is half a hotel and half shops/residential, is Doi Chaang Coffee! I had been meaning to try out their crepe cakes for awhile,  but it's on the other side of the country for me!At 8pm or so, we popped by and alot of their drinks were sold out and they only had 1-2 slices of crepe cakes left! Being the all greedy, I decided to try one of each flavour! For big groups of 7 or more, you will have sit outside, as their indoor air-conditioned seating is meant for groups or 2 to 4.So after ordering all 7 crepe cakes, the staff had to get creative with designing all 7 plates with chocolate syrups. Each plate had a different design and they were all so cute! I have ordered the cakes in the order that I like the most! All their crepes tasted fresh with the same consitent texture, look and feel for all 7 flavours.1. Earl Grey $6.90 This is by far the best crepe cake I have ever eaten. The earl grey flavour was just right! It wasn't too sweet and you could distinctively taste earl grey. 2. Matcha & Azuki $6.90I am a Matcha lover and this is so much better than the infamous Lady M green tea crepe cakes, and there's even azuki beans in this crepe cake. Definitely getting this again in the future!3. Hokkaido Milk $6.90A very milky, creamy tasting crepe cake, an interesting flavour that I really liked! It wasn't too sweet, and yet, you could still taste the milk!4. French Vanilla $6.90A bit similar to the Hokkaido Milk, but less milky and more creamy.5. Raspberry Yogurt $6.90I guess because of the raspberry jam on top, this crepe cake ended up tasting the sweetest, too sweet for my liking. Additionally, you could taste the yogurt flavour in between in layer! 6. Chocooffee Praline $6.90The powder on top, was an overkill and I couldn't taste much in this crepe cake, we actually couldn't tell the difference between this and the Tiramisu crepe cake.7. Tiramisu $6.90Tasted like any normal tiramisu crepe cake, nothing special.Melon Milk $4.90I really liked this cup of melon milk, it was very refreshing and sweet, but as the ice melted, it tasted really diluted, either that, or the the sweetness overdose from the raspberry yogurt killed my taste buds. The total bill for our mini crepe cake "food-tasting". All in all, a great place to chill out in the buona vista area. Grab a cup of iced drink and a crepe cake to complete your day! continue reading
