It was my first time dining at jia xiang mian and i was surprised to see their limited variety of dishes on the menu. Didn't want to walk out after settling down so i decided to compromise for the curry chicken noodles. The noodles were unique. They had a special taste of flour..almost like there's too much flour in it. I figured that must be the speciality of jia xiang mian. Although its unique, its not really good..just a average. Curry chicken wise..average too. Nothing too special and personally i found the curry to be too spicy. Cost me probably around $6.40 and i have no plans of going back anytime soon unless they improve their menu. continue reading

Remember their advertisment? Jia Xiang Jia Xiang Jia Xiang Mian Mian Mian!My friend and I was just standing outside looking at the menu when the staff invited us in with her warm smile. This is the one place with the least crowds and no queue at all. We ordered their mixed seafood soup and I swear never to order this again. The prawn is not fresh and the soup is too salty. Also ordered their abalone with lettuce. This is quite okay. The sauce is good enough to cover the taste. continue reading

We're welcomed by the friendly smiles from the waitress. It's quite empty, just few tables that had been accupied. Large space, nice environment but pity scene. The noodles are quite expensive, normal noodles cost $6.90, Premium noodles cost ~$10. We've order the curry chicken as well, it's comes with rice. But we've requested it to come without the rice. The noodles are not special, the char siew is not very tasty as it's looks. I can't find a reason it's selling at $6.90 or $9.90 either. Maybe for the rental? For the curry chicken, since we requested no rice. They added 1 more potato for us. the potatoes are not cut in pieces. it's a big potato remain the "original" look but without skin. The curry is watery, not spicy. We're so regret to order it. continue reading
