My folks had dinner outside before returning home.As i didn't want to have anything heavy, they takeaway some pau from Hokee Pau at AMK Hub!It's located inside the NTUC foodcourt where they had their dinner!Dad told me that their pau is quite famous so they got chicken pau and siew mai home! It's a little cold when they got it home but still ok as the chicken is very tasty! There's a salty peppery taste to it I personally love the the siew mai more! They have meat and mushroom inside and it's very tasty too Love eating dim sum continue reading

Sometime when I do not feel like having a heavy or complete meal for my lunch or dinner, I would normally prefer to just grab one big meat pau from Hokee as a quick simple meal. The pau texture is compact, soft and moist. The sliced pork meat in it are very juicy and tender. Really like their dark soya sauce gravy in it as it is not too salt and very fragrant. A quarter of one whole boiled egg can be found in it too. These big meat paus are only served hot to you upon your order and the service staffs here are friendly too. continue reading

Hokee 'luo mai gai' steamed glutinuous chicken rice and one dollar dumpling with minced pork and chives. I simply like these two dim sum (singapore local delight) because they were well marinated and steamed. I like to eat it while they are warm from steamer. both of these are not too salty and they are very tasty! continue reading

Hokee has long be well-known for their Chinese dim sums, century egg porridge, colourful steamed cup cakes and also their juicy meat buns. Especially love their Big Bao, which consist of juicy pork meat which marinated with their special soya sauce and also with quarter boiled egg in it. Is big and satsifying! Great for a simple meal as well as tea with friends. Do also check it out on their other baos as well such as char siew mini baos, white lotus baos and etc. My verdict: 7/10 continue reading

I love chinese snacks and dim sum, so at times I will patronise this stall at Ang Mo Kio Hub to get some pau or fried prawn dumpling to satisfy my craving. The pau that they sell here is of reasonable standard although I would much prefer the pau to be more fluffy and softer in texture. The fillings are okay. Last time I would buy the "Extra Big chicken Pau" but now they do not sell it anymore. The other dim sum items are okay but you cannot compare it with those in the restaurants. Service is quite good. continue reading
