Introduction
In 1986, BBQ Express was established to meet two surging demands in the food market: a desire for healthy food, and for affordable and delicious ribs and chicken. Before BBQ Express, ribs were relatively expensive and served only in restaurants. BBQ Express' spectacular success lies in its ability to serve restaurant-quality ribs and chicken at take-away counters, foodcourt stalls, and stand-alone diners. In doing so, prices were kept affordable and available to a massive market. continue reading

As the food court is very crowded, I decide to buy takeaway at this outlet. It sells a range of BBQ meats from BBQ chicken wings to BBQ pork ribs. I order a pack of char Siew rice for takeaway by a low shout over the counter. Not sure if the staff hears me as she does not reply back. Another older staff comes along and asks for my order and also which type of rice do I prefer. There is a choice of chicken rice or pineapple rice. In the end it seems that both staffs are making the same order and there 2 packets in the end. I got the packet from the non speaking staff. From the experience, I am annoyed that I not given a choice of which type of rice I want. From the exchange between the 2 staffs, it seems that I am at fault. The pineapple rice tastes not bad with bits of green pea and crab sticks. The ah char that served with it is quite tasty too. The char Siew is quite tasty too. continue reading

At BBQ Express, you can get perfect oven roasted pork ribs and chicken at affordable prices! Every bite of the meat, be it pork ribs or chicken wings or chicken steak, it is well marinated, tender and juicy. You can either purchase the meat alone or the bento sets which comes with Pineapple Rice or Chicken Rice, Pork Ribs or Chicken Steak or Chicken Wings and some achar. This outlet is very generous in their serving. The Honey Glazed Chick Steak bento justifies the quality and amount I paid for. continue reading

This is the place to go for a quick fix of ready made BBQ chicken or chicken wings or pork ribs. Even though the BBQ items here may be more expensive than other stalls, especially to the BBQ food stall in NTUC fairprice at $8.90 per BBQ chicken, it is definitely worth the price! I have always liked the pineapple rice with the BBQ chicken wing and my favourite item has always been the BBQ pork ribs as they are well marinated and juicy. For today I bought the last honey glazed chicken and again this is not a disappointment as the meat is tender and goes very well with the rice. Do remember to ask for the chili sauce when u takeaway from the stall as they complement very well with the meat! Thumbs up! continue reading
