Had my lunch with my friend at this Bali Thai on this afternoon. This time we tried their few types of main course dish, which we had the lemon fried chicken and also the stir fried beef. Restaurant was very cosy and comfortable, service was alright but could have been better if they can smell more and greet more. Portion served for both dishes are quite little and not filling at all. lemon chicken was not sour enough and the meat was quite dry as well. The beef meat was tender and juicy and the peppery flavour make it quite delicious. Plain rice was dry and hard. Paid around $25 for both which was quite expensive. continue reading

This thai restaurant is very spacious and the decoration here simply but really cosy. I like a few dishes here which includes their pineapple fried rice, stir fry kang kang and tom yum soup. However among these dishes, tom yum soup is my favourite choice. The soup is really sour, spicy and with abit of sweetness to it. The ingredients in it are generous which includes large prawns, sliced sotongs, mussels and sliced chicken meat. Like to eat the mussel alot as they are really chewy and are not overcooked. I normally would buy a plate of plain rice to eat with this soup and it is best taste it when it is piping hot. continue reading

Decided to dine here with my friend. After reading the menu, we decided to ordered Tom Yam Seafood, Tau Hu and chicken. Tom Yum Seafood was their version of the oh-so-famous tom yum seafood soup. This is the clear version and it came packed with seafood. I mean it was literally bursting with ingredients like squid, fish, mussels, prawns and scallop. Its definitely strong in terms of taste and moderately spicy but if I'm not mistaken, still milder then the actual tom yum soup in Thailand. The tau hu was overly hard at places but managed to remain acceptable mostly due to yet another excellently fragrant sauce. Its just the normal sauce with a little chili but it really makes this average dish taste better then it really is. As for the chicken, it a bit disappointed. The chicken was overdone which resulted in tough and dry meat but the overal was still nicely fragrant. Overall, the food was average. continue reading

Another place which I love to go to when I have cravings for Thai food is none other than the Bali Thai Restaurant. The staff are really friendly and they serve a great variety of Thai food. I like the Spicy Seafood Soup as when consumed even with plain rice would make a great meal! Their fried rice is very tasty too! Thumbs up for Bali Thai! continue reading
