As I was walking around the basement of Lot One, I heard the auntie at Wow Tako promoting their takopachi balls. The balls are going at 5 for $3. I decided to get myself a box to try. They had quite a number of fillings and the auntie said I could mixed and match. I ordered their octopus, prawn, ham and cheese, mushroom and cheese and bacon and cheese. Almost all the flavor. I found the octopus one exceeding my expectation, I thought the octopus would be very tough but it turned out to be just chewy, not tough at all. The prawn one was good too, with succulent prawn meat. continue reading

Wow tako was having a promotion. they saw five balls for only a mere three dollars. It was much more affordable and cheaper. I ordered their octopus flavor. I really like their octopus takopachi. Their octopus is really large in size. I like the sauce that they topped the takopachi with, it is a combination of this brown sauce and mayo. The brown sauce is kind of sweetish and the mayo is really light. It was really delicious. continue reading

It only cost $2.50 for 3 pieces- for any flavor that you choose. I settled for 2 prawns and 1 octopus, these 2 are my favorite flavors. Not the best tako balls around that I have tasted but certainly a pass. The entire piece of each individual tako ball was soft and mushy, at least they were served warm and not at room temperature though. continue reading
