I was craving for some Rojak the other day and decided to get the smallest portion from this stall to try. I love you tiao so I requested for more - the you tiao is crispy even after it was left in the box for quite some time, and wasn't soggy. The sweetness of the paste is just right, and the amount of peanuts given was sufficient. Didn't quite like the pineapples though, they were too sour. continue reading

Love rojak! Would always frequent You De Rojak after my tuition at hougang. The auntie is very nice to always entertain my orders of not having pineapple, but extra you tiao. Haha. The rojak is great when eaten with its chilli! Not too spicy, but just giving the rojak abit more taste. Im craving for rojak just as im typing this now! continue reading

Rojak is one of my favourite snacks. The you tiao and fried beancurd is very crispy and the serving is generous. The taste of the prawn paste was mixed well. It is neither too salty nor spicy. The peanut gratings enhanced the taste of the items in the rojak. There are also cucumber, turnip, beansprouts and pineapple. Thus there are actually some healthy food amongst the fried stuff in rojak. continue reading

So far the nicest rojak that I ever try will be "You De Rojak" at Hougang ave 8. Almost every week I would buy their rojak. The uncle give generous amount of the prawn paste with "you tiao, tau po, pineapples, cucumbers and meng guang". He will stir and mixed all the ingredients skillfully. Before serving the rojak, he will also dished out huge amount of grated peanuts onto it. Can't wait to have my rojak again ) continue reading

I never failed to wonder why the business of this rojak stall is always so good. Be it weekdays or weekends, most of the time I have to wait for at least more than 5 minutes before I can get my rojak. The rojak was delicious. The uncle or auntie of the stall managed to mix the shrimp paste well with all the other ingredients, like the yuo tiao, tao pok, cucumbers slices, pineapple slices, skin of lime and etc. As a final product, bean spouts and peanuts will be sprinkled on top of the rojak. When you mixed all of these together, it tastes so delicious. Maybe that is why their business is so good. continue reading
