Taste: The best steamboat I had. The food is all of high quality and very fresh. Beef is very tender. I will only come to Tanyoto in the future if I want to have steamboat.Environment: There is no leg space under the table, so its quite uncomfortable to sit there for a long time.Service: Very good service.Clean: No problems with cleanliness.Price: I went there with a Qoo10 voucher. Even without the voucher, this steamboat buffet will be worth it. continue reading

For a complete review with pictures, do visit http://rachelays.blogspot.sg/2013/03/tanyoto-steamboat-buffet.html I saw that there was a pretty good deal of Tanyoto Steamboat on qoo10 and decided to give it a try with my family. The original price of the steamboat is $28.80 for adults and we paid $21.80 per pax. There is also free flow barley drink. The ambience is good. It is air-conditioned and the place is clean too. You order the food and it will be served to you at the comfort of your table. Selection is rather limited but at this price, there is nothing to complain as there are prawns and crabs after all. We had 2 soup bases - Tom Yum and Clear Fish soup The tom yum soup base was not overwhelming. In fact, the tom yum taste was too bland for my liking. The clear fish soup was okay. We were told to order whatever we want from a menu (and so we did). However, they gave us several ingredients in which we did not order and told us that we could just eat what we want and if we don't want it, they will take it back. I find that it is quite a waste of food and I am not sure if they really do throw away those food that were on our table for quite some time (that we rejected because we did not order). 2 fish heads were included and they were really huge. There were quite a number of condiments to choose from. The peanut sauce surprisingly went well with the fish meat. The crab meat was surprisingly sweet. I love their fried pancakes! It was really good. We could not resist and ordered 2 servings of it. Overall, it is worth a try if you are a fan of fish head steamboat or steamboats. continue reading

A variety of sauces to choose from the dipping counter. From a range of 5 soup bases, we selected Tomato soup and Pickled chinese cabbage fish soup. The must have fish head is fresh and meaty, but limited 1 per table. As for cold dishes, have chicken with spicy sauce which is full of bones and almost no meat, and the refreshing cucumber with garlic sauce.End the meal with the very sweet Ice jelly and refreshing Aloe Vera with honey. continue reading

Tanyoto is a tranditional restaurant in china but the one in Singapore tasty is not tranditional one . More change into Singapore local style already . Not 麻 at all , not too spicy ... Even not much taste at all ... Quite disappointed . Fish head they promoted is a big failure ... And price is expensive , more than 50 dollar forOne person Location is at Liang court , If you take train then it is 10 mins walk from mrt continue reading

If you are looking for midnight steamboat, this is the one along Clarke Quay.It was packed and fully booked, so don’t try your luck. Do make reservation before coming to avoid disappointment despite the wee hours! Now you know why Tanyoto place is so well received! All their ingredients comes in big portions and super duper fresh. Tanyoto even have fish head on their menu – the size of a usual curry fish head claypot! One thing Tanyoto doesn’t have on the menu is crabstick which is rather unusual.Oh, did I mentioned that Tanyoto is a China style steamboat place? What is signature here I bet is their soup base, we have the Ma La and pickled cabbage with fish soup which is so unique! As it is not really Singaporean flavour, it is subject to the individual taste. I found it refreshing and interesting! As it was quite packed, service standard was fair. It is hard to catch the waiters attention to place your order and they are not very attentive. The waiter walked pass our table a number of times but didn't saw the empty glasses, he didn't refill unless upon request. continue reading
